Broadway has been dark for well over a year, but the circle of life will go on! The Lion King and Aladdin will return to Broadway this fall and just last week, some of the cast members of both shows (including Stephen Carlile, L. Steven Taylor, Tshidi Manye, Bonita J. Hamilton, Brandon A. McCall, Michael James Scott, Michael Maliakel, Shoba Narayan ,Jonathan Freeman, and Don Darryl Rivera)  gathered at the New Amsterdam Theatre to celebrate Broadway's return.

The Lion King begins performances on Tuesday, September 14 at the Minskoff Theatre. Aladdin resumes performances on Tuesday, September 28 at the New Amsterdam Theatre. Learn more about both productions here!

The stream of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS' benefit concert celebrating Disney on Broadway's 25th anniversary will air tonight, April 17, 2020, after the American Federation of Musicians dropped its opposition to the stream. The online playback will raise money for Broadway Cares' COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Fund, which is helping everyone in the theater and performing arts community impacted by the pandemic. Stars from Disney on Broadway shared a Zoom performance with Good Morning America on Thursday, April 9th, while Broadway remains dark. James Monroe Iglehart, Heather Headley, Ryan McCartan, Ciara Renee, Steven Taylor, Jelani Alladin, Mckenzie Kurtz, Adrienne Walker, and Michael James Scott performed an rendition of Alan Menken's 'Go the Distance'

Ryan McCartan appeared on Good Morning America today to talk about the upcoming stream of the Disney on Broadway's 25th Anniversary Concert, to benefit BC/EFA.

The one-night-only benefit 'Celebrating 25 Magical Years of Disney on Broadway' will be streamed to raise money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS' COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Fund.

The sparkling silver anniversary event on November 4, 2019, raised an astounding $570,426 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

The Times Square Alliance unveiled today the first holiday “Show Globes” in Times Square on the Broadway Plaza between 44th and 45th Streets. The event included remarks by the Alliance President, Tim Tompkins as well as representatives from each of the four Broadway shows. “Show Globes” will be on display in Times Square through December 26, 2019.

Disney on Broadway continues its 25th anniversary celebration in partnership with the Fashion Institute of Technology, creating a unique design challenge for students to reimagine contemporary designs for some of Disney on Broadway's iconic female characters. The partnership is a first between Disney on Broadway and the college, which will soon be celebrating its 75th anniversary.
