Casting for Cameron Mackintosh’s production of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg’s Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon, LES MISÉRABLES, has been announced. The show will play more than 60 week-long and multi-week engagements through the next two years and beyond. 

One of the biggest hits in theatrical history, CATS, will return to San Jose's Center for the Performing Arts (255 S. Almaden Blvd.) for a limited one-week engagement as part of a new North American tour beginning Tuesday, September 20 and running through Sunday, September 25, 2022.

From Erich Kastner's classic 1949 novel, to the 1961 movie starring Hayley Mills and the 1998 remake featuring Lindsay Lohan, The Parent Trap has been delighting families for generations. Its newest incarnation comes in the form of this charming new musical, produced by Kenny Wax and directed by Trevor Nunn.

Theatre for a New Audience has announced its 2022-23 season, its 43rd, held at TFANA’s home, Polonsky Shakespeare Center in Brooklyn.

Identical is based on the novel ‘The Parent Trap’ by Erich Kästner, which inspired the Disney films featuring Hayley Mills in 1961 and Lindsay Lohan in 1998.  Destined for the West End, it will open at Nottingham Playhouse 26 July – 14 August 2022, then transfer to Salford’s The Lowry 19 August – 3 September 2022. Children’s Musical Theaterworks, of Fresno, CA, will bring Valley audiences the history of France in a unique way with a production of Les Misérables School Edition, an adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musical.

As Nottingham Playhouse launches its new brochure for the late summer and autumn 2022 to early Spring 2023, the company has revealed that its first production for 2023 will be the world premiere of Christy Lefteri's gripping best-selling novel, The Beekeeper of Aleppo adapted by Nesrin Alrefaai and Matthew Spangler.

Illana Stein will direct the World Premiere of Complicity by playwright Diane Davis (HB Studios Residency Fellow; Actors Studio Playwrights and Directors Unit), presented by Eden Theater Company (Byron Anthony and Joyce Romano, Producers) at the New Ohio Theatre (154 Christopher Street Ste 1E New York, NY), September 28-October 16.

CATS is Lauren Louis' first national tour! She worked for Disneyland as a principal vocalist & dance swing while getting her Musical Theatre BFA from CSU Fullerton.

Just last month, Matcham Books released Troy David Johnston's Going Dark- a new book featuring a series of photographs that document the closure of theatres across the West End and Greater London during the 2020/21 Covid-19 pandemic.
