The cast included Shoshana Bean (Wicked), Morgan James (Addams Family), Carrie Manolakos (Mamma Mia), Deborah S. Craig (Spelling Bee), Tracie Thoms (Cold Case, Rent), Jenna Leigh Green (Wicked), and Alexa Green (Wicked).
The Greatest Gift, a special family holiday playreading with music, will be presented by Westport Country Playhouse in association with Bisno Productions as part of the Playhouse's popular Script in Hand series, on Monday, December 13, 7 p.m.

Bill Irwin, actor, director, writer and clown, whose work has been honored with Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Barrymore and Helen Hayes Awards, and Doug Skinner, musician, puppeteer and composer, who wrote and played the music for several of Mr. Irwin's shows, will appear in "The Clowns and Mr. Beckett," an evening of madcap routines, shtick and novelty songs, at Westport Country Playhouse on Saturday, December 11, 8 p.m.

Next to Normal, with music by Tom Kitt and lyrics by Brian Yorkey, is making its west coast premiere at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles. With a thrilling contemporary score, 'Next to Normal' is an emotional powerhouse of a musical about a family trying to take care of themselves and each other. The Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical features original Broadway star Alice Ripley, who won the Tony for her performance. Larson-award winning composer Mark Allen ('Band Geeks!,' 'Tinyard Hill') has penned an original 10-minute musical for the comedy web series 30/2010. The musical, entitled 'Call Us,' will be the 19th episode in the 30-episode web series, and will officially be unveiled on Tuesday, November 30. The series was created by and stars Joe Beuerlein, Thomas DeMarcus, and Kelly Strandemo. The new musical episode can be found on the show's website: www.thirtytwentyten.com.
Michael Riedel reports in the New York Post this morning that Stephen Schwartz's PIPPIN is headed back to Broadway in a new revival that's expected to open on Broadway in the 2012-2013 season after a pre-Broadway stop at the ART in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
