Your Kids, Our Kids (Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley, Founding Directors) presented the 6th Annual VOICES FOR THE VOICELESS: Stars For Foster Kids, an event that brings together the very best performers from the American stage and screen to raise awareness about the plight of kids in foster care, particularly those aged 13 and older who are in danger of aging out of the foster care system alone, last night, Thursday, February 6th at 7pm at The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street, NYC).

Lincoln Center Theater's upcoming production of the new musical Flying Over Sunset is officially in rehearsals! The musical, with a book and direction by James Lapine, music by Tom Kitt, and lyrics by Michael Korie, featuring choreography by Michelle Dorrance, will begin previews Thursday, March 12, and open on Thursday, April 16 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street).Check out a just-released TV spot for the new musical, featuring brand new music by Kitt and Korie!

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of André Bishop) has announced that Erika Henningsen, Jeremy Kushnier, Emily Pynenburg, Michele Ragusa, Robert Sella, Laura Shoop, and Atticus Ware will join Carmen Cusack, Harry Hadden-Paton, and Tony Yazbeck in its upcoming production of the new musical FLYING OVER SUNSET. ULISES OTERO of MIAMI, FL from NEW WORLD SCHOOL OF THE ARTS and UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA, has been named a 2020 National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) Finalist in Theatre, the organization's highest honor. Otero has been recognized for his artistic achievement and joins 686 of the nation's most accomplished artists in the visual, literary, and performing arts.

Catarina de Luca Figueiredo of Miami, Florida from New World School of the Arts has been named a 2020 National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) Finalist in Theater, the organization's highest honor. De Luca Figueiredo has been recognized for her artistic achievement and was selected by an esteemed discipline-specific panel of artists through a rigorous blind adjudication process. YoungArts award winners gain access to one of the most prestigious programs for emerging artists in the United States in which they will have opportunities for creative and professional development throughout their entire careers. This year's award winners represent the top 9.5% of applications across ten artistic disciplines. YoungArts award winners gain access to one of the most prestigious programs for emerging artists in the United States in which they will have opportunities for creative and professional development throughout their entire careers. In 1968, Promises, Promises, a musical based on the 1960 film The Apartment, premiered on Broadway. Featuring music by Burt Bacharach, lyrics by Hal David, and a book by Neil Simon, the show features enduring classics like 'Say a Little Prayer,' 'A House Is Not a Home' and 'I'll Never Fall in Love Again,' but none left such a legacy (especially at this time of year) as 'Turkey Lurkey Time.' Featuring the unforgettable choreography of Michael Bennett, and danced originally by Donna McKechnie, Baayork Lee and Julane Stites, the song has undoubtedly become a beloved classic of the musical theatre holiday cannon... but which holiday?
