Another event, another packed house! DO40 presented its fourth annual Legacy Awards at their Holiday Dinner, this year again at the over-the-top LIPS restaurant in NYC. The Best of Broadway & Cabaret will come out in support of the Actors' Temple, (est. 1917) on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 6:45 PM. The Third Annual Concert will take place at the Temple, 339 West 47th Street. This theater district historic landmark has been struggling to survive in recent years.

The critically acclaimed first Off-Broadway revival of the of Closer Than Ever, with lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr. and music by David Shire, will end its extended run with its 150th performance on Sunday evening, November 4, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at The York Theatre at Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue) where performances began June 5, 2012.
NYMF Announces Submission Deadline Extension for 2013 Next Link Project

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) announced today that due to the storm, the deadline for submissions to the Next Link Project, which guarantees production slots in the 2013 Festival, has now been extended by one week to November 12th. Priscilla, Queen of the Desert played its final performance on Broadway on June 24, 2012, after 23 previews and 526 performances. Now, according to an Equity casting notice, a national tour for the show will launch from Minneapolis on January 8.
