The multi award-winning London production of global hit musical Come From Away welcomes new and returning cast members to the Phoenix Theatre from June 2022.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts has announced that the national tour of COME FROM AWAY, a Broadway musical about the true story of the small town that welcomed the world, is returning to Costa Mesa at Segerstrom Hall for a limited one week engagement from June 21-26.

David Geffen School of Drama at Yale is pleased to announce its inaugural Design Showcase in New York City. The Design Showcase will introduce scenic, costume, lighting, sound, and projection designers from the classes of 2020 and 2022 on May 19 and 20 at The Public Theater Studios (440 Lafayette Street).

Roundabout Theatre Company will conclude the New York premiere of Birthday Candles by Noah Haidle, starring Emmy Award winner Debra Messing, directed by Vivienne Benesch on Sunday, May 29.

Critically acclaimed and widely celebrated “Come From Away,” a Broadway musical about the true story of the small town that welcomed the world, will return to Los Angeles at Center Theatre Group / Ahmanson Theatre for a limited engagement May 31 through June 12.

Kandi Burruss, the Grammy Award-winning singer / songwriter, actress, entrepreneur, star of “the Real Housewives of Atlanta” on BRAVO, and producer of Thoughts of a Colored Man, alongside Todd Tucker, announced today that they will be joining the producing team for The Piano Lesson on Broadway.

The highly anticipated Broadway revival of August Wilson’s seminal, Pulitzer Prize®-winning drama The Piano Lesson, and the first in more than 30 years since the play’s Main Stem premiere, is the first marquee of the 2022 / 2023 season to hit Broadway at the iconic St. James Theatre, the production’s future home, on the occasion of Mr. Wilson’s 77th Birthday today.

Producers Brian Anthony Moreland, Sonia Friedman and Tom Kirdahy announced additional cast for the revival of August Wilson’s seminal, Pulitzer Prize-winning drama The Piano Lesson, the first Broadway revival in more than 30 years since the play’s Main Stem premiere in 1990.

Paradise Square officially resumed performances last night, April 19, after briefly going dark due to COVID cases within the cast. Joaquina Kalukango gave a speech after last night's performance, where she talked about being grateful to be back on stage.

The Lied Center for Performing Arts has announced the national tour of COME FROM AWAY, a Broadway musical about the true story of the small town that welcomed the world, will make its Lincoln, NE debut at the Lied Center for a limited engagement on April 27- May 1.

The new Broadway musical Paradise Square will now resume performances on Tuesday, April 19 at the Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th Street), rather than Saturday, April 16 as previously announced. The change is due to additional COVID cases within the company.

After previously announcing that performances would resume on Tuesday, April 12, the original new Broadway musical Paradise Square will definitely resume performances on Saturday, April 16, with performances at 2:00 and 8:00 pm at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th Street). The production, which opened April 3, halted performances on Thursday, April 7 after positive COVID cases were experienced in the company.

Popejoy Presents and Haverland Carter Broadway in New Mexico have announced the national tour of COME FROM AWAY, a Broadway musical about the true story of the small town that welcomed the world, will open May 11 its Albuquerque debut at Popejoy Hall for a limited engagement May 11 – 15, 2022.

BroadwayWorld has learned that Paradise Square principal cast member Chilina Kennedy will miss upcoming preview performances of the production due to testing positive for COVID. She is currently set to return on Saturday, April 2.

The Public Theater is now presenting the World Premiere of SUFFS, a new musical with book, music, and lyrics by Public Theater Artist-in-Residence Shaina Taub, music direction and music supervision by Andrea Grody, choreography by Obie Award winner Raja Feather Kelly, and direction by Tony Award nominee Leigh Silverman.
