Five individuals have been honoured with Special Recognition Awards ahead of the Olivier Awards 2022 with Mastercard, recognising their outstanding contributions to the theatre industry.

This internationally acclaimed performance event - already performed over 40 times in six countries, and featuring more than 400 participants, many of whom have never been on stage before - is coming to Stanley Arts in South Norwood in London on Sunday, March 27 at  6pm.

When someone says they're turning one of the most beloved movies ever into a musical, there's always some cause for worry. The usual questions flood in: 'Will they do it justice? 'Will they say this line?' 'What are they going to change?' In most cases these worries are warranted, but in the unique case of Mean Girls, Tina Fey herself returned to adapt her modern teen classic into a hilarious and splashy musical comedy.

Broadway In Boston announced today the 22/23 Lexus Broadway In Boston season at the Citizens Bank Opera House and the Emerson Colonial Theatre, an Ambassador Theatre Group venue.  Included in the six show Season subscription are TINA - The Tina Turner Musical, HAIRSPRAY featuring Andrew Levitt, (aka Nina West) as Edna Turnblad, SIX, MY FAIR LADY, BEETLEJUICE and JAGGED LITTLE PILL. 

Broadway In Hollywood has announced their new 2022-23 season entitled, 'Simply the Best' - the first full season announcement in two years, consisting of eight Broadway national tour productions which will play both the Pantages and Dolby Theatres in Hollywood.

One of New England's most successful and historic theaters is modernizing its smaller venue on Congress Street in downtown Portsmouth. The newly named “The Music Hall Lounge” is an exciting new venue that will offer a nightclub vibe with flexible seating options, bar and food service, and an open concept that will appeal to a diverse audience. Formerly known as “The Loft,” the updated venue is currently under construction and will open early this summer.

Pasadena Playhouse begins performances of the West Coast premiere of Ann – written by and starring Holland Taylor and directed by Benjamin Endsley Klein March 22, with performances continuing through April 24. 

Performing Arts Fort Worth, the non-profit owner and operator of Bass Performance Hall, announced today that MEAN GIRLS, the musical comedy produced by Lorne Michaels, Stuart Thompson, Sonia Friedman and Paramount Pictures based on the hit film, will make its long-awaited Bass Hall debut in a limited engagement July 26-31.

Blumenthal Performing Arts has announced the PNC Broadway Lights Season for 2022-23. 

New tickets for the Tony Award-winning Broadway production of Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella for the Sydney and Melbourne seasons are on sale this week, with pre-sales from today and general public sales from Friday 25 March. Tickets also go on sale today for the Brisbane season.

Washington DC's oldest continuously operating theatre, The National Theatre has added four distinguished new members to its Board of Directors. Joining the theatre's Board are private equity pioneer Daryn Dodson, longtime non-profit and arts leader Peter Jablow, innovative advertising and marketing executive Jean Komendera, and civic leader and two-term Washington DC Mayor, Anthony A. Arne Beeker, Linz's very own Dramatic Adviser, texted me after a rehearsal of FANNY AND ALEXANDER, the latest work of Gisele Kverndokk (music) and Øysten Wiik (book and lyrics), based on Ingmar Bergman's 1982 movie, about how special this show is going to be.

In the run up to their second studio album, ‘NaN,’ out this May via Stock-A, Hate Moss have unfolded their latest single, “Peonia”. The new music arrives as the band also announce a crop of UK shows this May with dates in Oxford, Bristol and London.

After sellout engagements in New York and London, singer Carole J. Bufford will bring her newest show Vintage Pop! to Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood, The Purple Room in Palm Springs, and Martinis in San Diego. She will appear in Hollywood on Wednesday, March 30, at 8:30pm; in Palm Springs on Friday, April 1, at 8pm; and in San Diego on Saturday, April 2, at 8pm.

After much consideration and discussion, Los Altos Stage Company and Los Altos Youth Theatre have shifted their programming for the remainder of their seasons back by approximately a month and have decreased the total number of performances for each production. 

Macbeth begins performances tonight, March 29, 2022, at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street) and opens on Thursday, April 28, 2022. Learn more about the cast bringing this show back to the stage!
