The Drifters Girl – the new musical which tells the remarkable story of one of the world's greatest vocal groups and the woman who made them – is to extend its run at Garrick Theatre in London to Sunday 12 February 2023.

The Playwrights Realm (Founding Artistic Director, Katherine Kovner; Producing Director, Roberta Pereira) presents Play on Words, a one-night live-streamed festival of short new plays that culminates an initiative in which donors get to have a hand in writing and creating work (March 28 at 7pm ET).

Shattered Globe Theatre has announced the addition of six new Ensemble Members and six new Artistic Associates. Ensemble members include Demetra Dee, Tina M. Jach, Tina Muñoz Pandya, Hailey Rakowiecki, Jazzma Pryor and Devonte E. Washington. Artistic Associates include Mikey Gray, Lawrence Grimm, Jason Lynch, David Antonio Reed, Adam Schulmerich and Leslie Ann Sheppard.

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts and Mark Cortale will present the return of the internationally acclaimed Broadway @ The Wallis Concert Series with Tony Award-winner Kelli O'Hara and hosted/music directed by SiriusXM Radio star Seth Rudetsky on Saturday, April 2, 7 pm, in The Wallis’ Bram Goldsmith Theater.

After teasing the duet in Instagram posts on Sunday, Dua Lipa and Megan Thee Stallion unveiled the single's cover in a new tweet. The Manhattan Association of Cabarets has announced the 2022 MAC Award nominees. The nominees were determined by votes cast by the active MAC membership, except for the song and recording categories, which were determined by special committees.

The Straz Center has announced the full upcoming lineup for its 2022-23 Broadway season. The season will kick off in November with the National Tour of Six. Following that will be Hadestown, Hamilton, Tina, Chicago, Wicked, To Kill a Mockingbird, Ain't Too Proud, and Jagged Little Pill.

How cool would it be to have a composer write a song personally tailored to you? Cabaret performers live for those tunes that tap into their truest essence and express exactly who they are as an entertainer. That is the premise and the purpose of MUSE MATCH, a concert of new works benefiting The Musical Theatre Factory. The founder of the event, Bill Coyne described it as a “musical theatre blind date.” Cabaret artists are matched up with a composer or composing team. They answer a series of in-depth questions about what believe in and what’s important to them as people, and voila! a custom-made song.

InterAct Theatre Company continues its 2021-2022 season with  SETTLEMENTS, a “world premiere” play by InterAct's founding Producing Artistic Director, Seth Rozin. SETTLEMENTS marks InterAct's 3rd live, in-person production since returning from the pandemic shutdown, following on the heels of its critically acclaimed THIS BITTER EARTH in February 2022.

Legendary Chicago comedy institution The Second City is proud to announce the cast and crew of The Second City’s 110th Mainstage Revue. Resident stage and Second City Touring Company director Jen Ellison (Apes of Wrath) will make her Mainstage directorial debut with an ensemble that includes Together at Last returning members Evan Mills and Musical Director Jeff Bouthiette.

Geffen Playhouse’s next live production in their Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater, Lindsay Joelle’s TRAYF opens March 10th (with previews already in progress). Maggie Burrows directs the cast of Ilan Eskenazi, Ben Hirschhorn, Louisa Jacobson and Garrett Young. For those unfamiliar with the term “trayf,” Oxford Language dictionary defines trayf as “adjective: (of food) not satisfying the requirements of Jewish law.” I had the opportunity to throw out a few questions to Lindsay amidst her final rehearsals.

Dallas Summer Musicals (DSM) and Broadway Across America (BAA) announced today that single tickets for the First National Tour of Mean Girls— the record-breaking new musical comedy produced by Lorne Michaels, Stuart Thompson, Sonia Friedman, and Paramount Pictures based on the hit film—will go on sale Friday, March 4. Dallas’ premiere engagement of Mean Girls will run May 3-15, 2022 at the Music Hall at Fair Park as part of the Germania Insurance Broadway Series presented by DSM.

Vineyard Theatre Artistic Directors Douglas Aibel and Sarah Stern have announced updates for the company’s season. Initially announced as a special event, Lessons in Survival: 1971 will now receive a full production on the Vineyard stage May 25 - June 30. 

Joining the previously announced Alex Jennings in Stephen Beresford's The Southbury Child are Holly Atkins, Josh Finan, Jack Greenlees, Jo Herbert, Phoebe Nicholls, Racheal Ofori and Sarah Twomey. Final casting will be announced shortly.

Broadway's Mean Girls is at Wharton Center in East Lansing until this Sunday, March 6th. Based on the 2004 movie, Mean Girls premiered on Broadway back in 2018 and it went on to be nominated for 12 Tony Awards.
