Legendary Chicago comedy institution The Second City has announced the cast and crew of The Second City Mainstage’s 111th Revue.

Vineyard Theatre has announced the on-sale for This Land Was Made written by Tori Sampson and directed by LPTW Lucille Lortel Award and 2023 Obie Award winner Taylor Reynolds.

Renee Rapp is currently in the midst of filming the movie musical adaptation of Mean Girls, reprising her Broadway role as Regina George. Rapp gave an update to Michael Strahan about their filming progress before the performance. On Sunday, March 12th, I had the pleasure of seeing yet another phenomenal installment of the Downtown Cabaret Theatre’s Decades in Music series, THE 1980S.  Of the three so far, this one has been my favorite!  THE 1980S is written by Phill Hill, directed and choreographed by Jennifer Kaye, and performed at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre in Bridgeport CT.  THE 1980S represents a trip through song, dance, and video clips of the decade I entered as a pre-schooler and left as a high school freshman.  Consistently with the Decades in Music series, the usual stellar cast of Robert Peterpaul, Everton Ricketts, Mikayla Petrilla, and Saige Bryan provide first-rate performances that truly captivate the feel of the decade and radiate positive energy throughout the audience.  The performers have excellent stage chemistry with each other, harmonize well, and truly look like they are having a great time up on stage, and when breaking the fourth wall and interacting with the audience!

Amphibian Stage has now opened the call for submissions for a Texas-wide acting competition. From these submissions, 10 Texas-based MENASA actors will compete in the first annual SparkFest acting competition (June 8-10), including cash prizes for the top 3 competitors.
