Theatre Centre, in collaboration with Theatre503, will present ImagiNation Festival, an exciting new online event, culminating their national storytelling project. Showcasing 19 short plays across three days, as well as live Q&As with the acclaimed writers, the Festival aims to broadcast a digital patchwork of the nation, using the recorded submissions from across the country to share a multitude of voices.

Pitlochry Festival Theatre has today announced the postponement of their Summer Season, prioritising the health and wellbeing of all audiences, artists, and employees during the COVID-19 pandemic. The season, which has been moved to 2021, will be replaced by a series of digital works as part of Shades of Tay.

In Timberlake Wertenbaker's play a?oeOur Country's Gooda??, currently being offered from Strawberry Theatre Workshop, they say theatergoers should have three things. They should pay attention. How could you not with some of these incredible performances happening from the ensemble? They should be able to use their imaginations. Yes, you will need that as the ensemble of 11 play 22 roles, but with their commitment to their characters, it's not difficult to see who's speaking. And they should have patience. This is where I felt I faltered a bit last night. The show, which clocks in at 2 hours and 45 minutes including the intermission, drags on a bit at times, especially in Act One as things are getting set up.

It's Maine's Bicentennial, it's the 100th Anniversary of Women's Suffrage, and it's an election year. So many revolutionary and evolutionary things to celebrate we've rolled them all into one big ball for a 51st Season of EPIC proportions.
