Following the success of the inaugural “Take Your Seats” initiative in 2023, theatrical streaming service National Theatre at Home has announced this year’s edition of “Take Your Seat” with a free stream of Nye, starring Michael Sheen. 

HighTide has announced the six mentors for the new HighTide Writer’s Group. The mentors are Alice Birch, Jez Butterworth, Lolita Chakrabarti, Dennis Kelly, Anoushka Lucas and Winsome Pinnock.

Michael Sheen is Nye Bevan in this surreal and spectacular journey through the life and legacy of the man who transformed Britain’s welfare state. Written by Tim Price and directed by Rufus Norris, the National Theatre's production of Nye is now open.

The National Theatre and Wales Millenium Centre have announced the full cast for Nye as the company begins rehearsals. Tim Price's (Teh Internet is Serious Business) new play directed by Rufus Norris (Small Island), charts the life of Aneurin 'Nye' Bevan and his battle to create the NHS. Michael Sheen is cast as Nye in this co-production between the National Theatre and Wales Millennium Centre.
