Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show has become a staple at The Bucks County Playhouse.  Year after year, director Hunter Foster restages this cult classic that brings audiences in by the car load.  A night mixed with theatre lovers as well as committed fans of both the movie, 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show', and the classic musical.

If you grew up in Columbus in the 80s, the movie THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW at the Graceland Theatre was a teenage rite of passage, much like White Castle runs, midnight rounds of Putt-Putt and Little Kings Cream Ale.

Pull out those fishnets, tighten that corset and get ready to do the Time Warp as the Castle Craig Players host two interactive screenings of THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, October 19 & 20, at at their intimate cabaret venue in Meriden.

Tupelo Community Theatre will present an interactive, audience participation showing of the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show on October 31st at 8 p.m. at TCT Off Broadway at 213 East Franklin Street.

Since it first opened in London in June 1973 at the Royal Court Theatre Upstairs, Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show has become the world's favourite Rock 'N' Roll musical, having been performed worldwide for 45 years in more than 30 countries and translated into over 20 languages. This critically-acclaimed stunning new production is now back by public demand and returns for a 12 month UK tour starting at Theatre Royal Brighton on 13 December 2018.

State Theatre New Jersey presents a screening of the cult classic movie musical, The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 11pm. In addition to the screening, from 9pm to 11pm, State Theatre is hosting a pre-show party with a full service bar, ticket giveaways, a DJ, and a costume contest with prizes. Tickets are $15 and include a goodie bag of props.

Rex Smith (Broadway: The Pirates of Penzance, Grand Hotel, The Scarlett Pimpernel) stars as Victor Velasco in Neil Simon's classic hit comedy Barefoot In The Park at the historic Sharon Playhouse in Connecticut from July 27 through August 12.

A major theme running throughout THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW musical is transvestism which, according to O'Brien, was not originally meant to be as prominent as it ended up being after its original London production starring the cross-dressing, incredibly sexy Tim Curry as Frank-n-Furter. Brilliantly continuing in that tradition since the Maverick Theater's first production in 2007 is Dennis Tong, who absolutely inhabits the iconic role with every ounce of his being. From the moment he appears atop the bar in the theater and throws back his cape to reveal Frank-n-Furter's scantily dressed sexy self, you know this is going to be a night of theater you will never forget. In fact, the entire cast creates each and every character purely from their hearts.

Despite a bomb threat that caused the audience of the Saturday matinee to be evacuated from the Alex Theatre in Glendale and the performance to be cancelled, GMCLA persevered and went forward with the Saturday evening performance of their spectacular Pink Carpet.

Dialing It UpThis quote from a live cabaret performance by Charles Busch could be referencing his play, Die! Mommie Die!, which is a parody of the kind of grotesque, overwrought melodrama that fueled the careers of Bette Davis and Joan Crawford in the 1960's. Busch is certainly juicing up an old model, registering the conniving and backstabbing plot twists beneath a veneer of arch camp.
