DEAD PARENTS SOCIETY is a sketch comedy revue about mourning. Each skit addresses the death of a parent, the mourning process, going back to work or dating after loss. The premises are grim. The pain is real: each of the performers has lost a parent. The mood is anguished. And the show is hilarious.

Alongside Sh!t Actually, Camden People's Theatre's alternative Christmas offering includes SheGoat's The Undefinable (10 21 Dec), exploring unconventional relationships and celebrating the unusual and underrepresented qualities of love.

The initial inspiration for the play was a confession made to me by a stranger. After watching a previous production of mine based on postnatal mental health, she opened up to me about her bleakest day and I knew that story needed to go further. Centenary Stage Company and Centenary University offers "Acting for the Camera" workshop to the general public during the 2019 Spring Semester. The 2019 Spring Semester runs January 14 through May 3. The class meets Thursday evenings between the hours of 4:00pm and 6:30pm. Registration deadline for the workshop is Friday, January 11. Registration is $250 per participant.

FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is a wonderful show about joy amidst harsh circumstances, the importance of family and community. It's also about Tradition! It's nice to see familiar things updated but not bastardized. The cast is consistently wonderful with harmonious singing and excellent dancing throughout the show, with visually striking staging of sequences that don't technically qualify as dances.
