Jenna Elser, artistic director of Glow Lyric Theatre in Greenville SC, is the winner of The American Prize in DIRECTING—The Charles Nelson Reilly Prize (theater/musical theater division), 2021, for 'West Side Story'. Jenna was selected from applications reviewed recently from across the United States.

The Warehouse Theatre's main stage will light up again on September 24th with the same raucous cast of characters that blew them out on March 15th, 2020 when the  pandemic began shutting down theatres all over America. Funny, touching, and vibrant, the show  remains a perfect protagonist to launch the theatre back for its 2021/22 season. 

How lucky are we in Wichita to have such a wonderful theatre community?! Better still, how lucky are we to have such a gem like Music Theatre Wichita? Producing Director Wayne Bryan and his cohort of Wichita Favorites paid homage to the city that has supported MTW for the past 50 years by showering them with some of the amazing talent that has graced the Concert Hall stage. Dragonbutter is a multi-sensory experience is an ambitious project set in an 8,000-square-foot warehouse located at 200 Spring Garden Street. Dragonbutter is spread out through multiple themed rooms where each room challenges players with mini-riddles, and dramatic physical performances, leading up to the finale, a final fight against the “Boss.”

Festival Theater Hudson today announced its inaugural 2021-2022 season, beginning with a Gala Inaugural Concert featuring the US premier of Israeli composer Ittai Shapira's Magyar: A Concerto for Two Violins, followed by Act l of Richard Wagner's Die Walkure.

Written in the middle of a global pandemic after years of watching our country becoming ever more divided, the 10 songs on Free Country get to the heart of it all by exploring on an individual level the lives we choose to live.

Two years in the making, The Warehouse Project readies itself for a momentous return this autumn to Manchester’s iconic Depot Mayfield. Launching on Friday 17th September and running all the way through to New Years Day, the re-opening sequence of shows bring six, unique and epic experiences. These first events are now revealed below. 

The Warehouse Theatre, a regional professional theatre based in the Upstate  of South Carolina is presenting LONG STORY SHORT, a short play series showcasing the  talents of nationally lauded writers and featuring some of the region's most recognizable theatre  artists. 

Independent Venue Week will return July 12 - 18, 2021 bringing together venues from all across the country for a series of shows and programming in celebration of the spirit of independence. With over 200 venues in 41 states and territories already signed up, Independent Venue Week 2021 continues its rapid growth from years prior.

Yet, even with the hardships this theatre has gone through, and the uncertainty of the future, all involved with WHILE THE LIGHTS WERE OUT made sure to go out on that stage and give it their all. They rose up, like a David to the mighty Goliath, to deliver entertainment for an audience that strives for it.
