Theatr Clwyd has announced that their new Artistic Director will be Kate Wasserberg. A hugely experienced and respected director, Wasserberg was Artistic Director of both new writing company Stockroom and Cardiff's The Other Room and has directed major productions that have toured nationally and internationally.

Limited tickets for $30 are now on sale for a staged-reading workshop presentation of Imaginary Comforts, Or The Story of The Ghost Of The Dead Rabbit, the remarkable new play by Daniel Handler, creator of Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events!

The stage play is based on Hayao Miyazaki’s animated feature and is adapted and directed by Tony Award-winner John Caird, Honorary Associate Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company, who gained international acclaim for adapting and directing the world premiere of the landmark production Les Misérables. The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) and Neal Street Productions, in association with Hera Pictures, have announced casting for the world-premiere of Maggie O’Farrell’s Hamnet adapted by Lolita Chakrabarti and directed by RSC Acting Artistic Director Erica Whyman.

The Merchant of Venice 1936, Watford Palace Theatre’s ground-breaking new production of one of Shakespeare’s most enduring classics starring Tracy-Ann Oberman (EastEnders, Doctor Who, Friday Night Dinner), as Shylock, will embark on a UK tour this Autumn, beginning at the RSC’s Swan Theatre from Thursday 21 September.

As part of its current Performing Arts Season, Fall 2022—Spring 2023, Japan Society presents a staged reading of I'm Trying to Understand You, But… by Japanese playwright Yuri Yamada, led by NYC-based director NJ Agwuna, taking place Monday, March 13 at 7:30 PM at Japan Society.

“The 39 Steps” meets “An Inspector Calls” via Agatha Christie, Sherlock Holmes and Midsomer Murders. A cast of six bring a comic flurry of suspects and characters together to discover who done what, and why… Except, well… four of the cast are stuck by the side of the road in the van, and only those two knights of the Theatre – Sir Gavin of Robertson and Sir Nicholas of Collett have managed to get to the venue… but ‘the  show must go on’…

The Tony Award-winning Alley Theatre has announced the cast and creative team of The Odyssey, written by Nobel Prize Winner Derek Walcott. This adventure classic infused with Afro-Caribbean elements runs March 24 – April 16, 2023 in the Neuhaus Theatre and is directed by Christopher Windom.
