Rosie Day opens her one woman show, INSTRUCTIONS FOR A TEENAGE ARMAGEDDON at The Old Red Lion Theatre this week and it runs until 29 February 2020.

The complete cast for the Broadway premiere of the Royal Court Theatre/Atlantic Theater Company production of Martin McDonagh's new comedy Hangmen features Mark Addy as Harry, Tracie Bennett as Alice, Ewen Bremner as Syd, Owen Campbell as Clegg, Jeremy Crutchley as Inspector Fry, Gaby French as Shirley, Josh Goulding as Hennessy, John Hodgkinson as Pierrepoint, Richard Hollis as Bill, John Horton as Arthur, Ryan Pope as Charlie and Dan Stevens as Mooney, joined by understudies Sebastian Beacon, Pete Bradbury, Katie Fabel, and Colin McPhillamy. Directed by Matthew Dunster, Martin McDonagh's Hangmen begins performances on Friday, February 28, 2020, and officially opens on Thursday, March 19, 2020, at Broadway's Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street).

Dominic Cooke and Kate Horton launch their company Fictionhouse with a new West End production of C. P. Taylor's GOOD, starring David Tennant, Fenella Woolgar and Elliot Levey. Produced by Fictionhouse and Playful Productions, GOOD will play at the Playhouse Theatre for a strictly limited season from Tuesday 6 October (Press performance Wednesday 14 October).

Imy Wyatt Corner today announces Jade Williams will perform Everywoman. The one-woman show, directed by Amelia Sears and written anonymously, opens on 18 February, with previews from 17 February and runs until 22 February.

Paines Plough announces today their appointment of Holly Gladwell as their new Executive Producer. Holly joins Paines Plough from Rifco Theatre Company where she was General Manager, and will form an integral part of the company, newly led by Joint Artistic Directors Charlotte Bennett and Katie Posner.

Goodman Theatre Artistic Director Robert Falls has announced casting for his upcoming revival of Molly Sweeney by Brian Friel. In assuming the title role, Chicago favorite Kate Fry returns to the Goodman, following her recent appearance in Falls' production of The Winter's Tale. Joining Fry are stage and screen star Brendan Coyle (Downton Abbey), who returns to the Goodman following his triumphant appearance in last season's St. Nicholas by Conor McPherson, and Chicago's Christopher Donahue (Oedipus Rex at Court Theatre, Moby Dick at Lookingglass).

The Susan Smith Blackburn Prize has announced 10 Finalists for its prestigious playwriting award, the oldest and largest prize awarded to women playwrights.

Kayla Meikle and Katherine Parkinson have been cast in the world premiere of Shoe Lady written by E.V. Crowe and directed by Royal Court Artistic Director Vicky Featherstone. With set design by Chloe Lamford, lighting design by Natasha Chivers, composition by Matthew Herbert, sound design by Tony Gayle and movement direction by Sasha Milavic Davies.

In a production commissioned by the Finborough Theatre to celebrate its 40th anniversary with a play written in the year the Finborough Theatre opened, the first new UK production in 40 years of Paul Kember's award-winning 1980 comedy-drama Not Quite Jerusalem opens at the Finborough Theatre for a four week limited season on Tuesday, 3 March 2020 (Press Nights: Thursday, 5 March 2020 and Friday, 6 March 2020 at 7.30pm).

Initial casting has been announced for the 10th anniversary revival of Bruce Norris' seminal play Clybourne Park. Oliver Kaderbhai directs a cast including Michael Fox (Jim / Tom), Imogen Stubbs (Bev / Kathy) and Eric Underwood (Albert / Kevin). The production opens on 30 March, with previews from 25 March, and runs until 2 May.

World renowned acting professor, Andrei Malaev-Babel is bringing the Demidov Technique to America, specifically to Sarasota, in an experimental classroom project that will culminate in two weekends of performance of debbie tucker green's hang. The Demidov Technique teaches actors to draw from their subconscious minds to give personal and complex depth to the characters they play. Students will continue to develop their characters in the week between performances. Attendance is free and audiences are encouraged to return for the second weekend to see how the characters and interactions have matured. Performances will be held in the Cooley Studio February 21 a?" 23 and February 28 a?" March 1 at 8 PM on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 PM on Sundays. Seating is extremely limited at this time and some performances are sold out.

Theatr Clwyd today announces its Writers in Residence and Companies in Residence for 2020, as part of the TYFU|GROW Creative Development Programme. Writers' residencies have been awarded to Hannah Daniel, Katie Elin-Salt, Jennifer Lunn, Wyn Mason, Lisa Parry, and Kristian Phillips. Companies' residencies have been awarded to Archipelago, Francesca Goodridge and Dan Lloyd, PRIDD, and Signdance Collective.

Perception is everything. Open Fist Theatre Company opens its 30th anniversary season with three programs of short works, performed in rotating repertory, by playwrights renowned for pushing the boundaries of theatrical invention. Rorshach Fest, featuring seminal work by John O'Keefe, Daniel MacIvor, Harold Pinter and Caryl Churchill, opens Feb. 14 at Atwater Village Theatre, where performances continue through April 5. Pay-What-You-Want previews begin Feb. 11.

THESE GIRLS today announce the full cast of Bible John, written by Caitlin McEwan. Lizzie Manwaring directs Renée Bailey, Carla Garratt and Louise Waller alongside playwright Caitlin McEwan. The production opens at Vault Festival on 13 February, with previews from 12 February, running until 16 February.

American Shakespeare Center launches the 2020 Marquee Repertory season this summer navigating the waters of Venice, the glittering locale of Shakespeare's Othello and The Merchant of Venice and Ben Jonson's Volpone. In the fall, the world premiere of Keene, a companion play to Othello by breakout playwright Anchuli Felicia King, joins the repertory.

Seattle Rep will welcome back director Tim Bond and a cast of Seattle veteran actors for its production of Lucy Kirkwood's post-apocalyptic drama The Children, beginning February 7 in the Leo K. THESE GIRLS today announce Bible John, written by Caitlin McEwan and directed by Lizzie Manwaring, will be returning to London following a short run at The Pleasance, Islington last year. The production opens at Vault Festival on 13 February, with previews from 12 February, running until 16 February.
