Rogue Theater Festival is at again! Making waves this year in person at The Players Theatre AND digitally on ShowTix4U, Rogue is ready to present a brand new lineup of shows in their, here to stay, hybrid theater festival. Lasting from June 30th through July 3rd, the festival will include 18 brand new shows to be presented LIVE and in person at The Players Theatre along with 27 brand new shows that can be streamed on demand virtually on ShowTix4U.

Something unexpected has been quietly brewing within Greenwich Village's underground comedy scene and now it's heading into the 150 seat main stage of MacDougal Street's Players Theatre.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre in Times Square celebrates Pride Month with Antonia Kasper's TRUE CONFESSIONS OF THE STRAIGHT MAN. In this retro 90's farce with music, everyone thinks Todd is gay, including the girl he likes. Afraid he might jeopardize their friendship, Todd's ruse snowballs into an over-the-top mix-up of sexual preference and identities, when he gets his roommate and a drag queen involved. What happens when a straight guy pretends to be gay to get the girl?

 Never more timely, Trans Entertainment Guild presents a unique creative team and cast, in a concert reading of “The Civility of Albert Cashier” at The Players Theatre, 115 MacDougal Street, NYC, now through June 5th, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m., and on Sundays at 2 p.m.  Albert D. J. Cashier is a brave and heroic soldier in the Civil War.

The Players Theatre Self-Production Residency Program just opened its 35th show since the program’s launch in 2017. After Happily Ever After, which opened on May 5, recently extended its run until May 29 at the Steve and Marie Sgouros Theatre.

The world premiere of Here There Be Dragons - A New Musical Quest, inspired by the classic tabletop fantasy role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons, will be presented at The Players Theatre (115 MacDougal Street) with performances beginning Thursday, June 16. It is set to run through Sunday July 17, 2022.

After Happily Ever After, a new musical comedy, recently opened for a three-week limited engagement. The musical will run at The Players Theatre until Sunday, May 29. Tickets are $52-$72 available at www.theplayerstheatre.com.  Presented by Griffin Hammill Productions, the end is just the beginning in this grown-up version of four famous fairy tales in which six actors play 41 characters whose problems have only gotten worse after their original Happily Ever After. Red Riding Hood has become obsessed with men who are wolves, the Three Pigs are forced to part company, and the Frog Prince is in trouble—yet again.

Agatha Christie’s murder mystery novel, And Then There Were None, published in 1939 and adapted for the stage by Ms. Christie in 1943 is being staged at the Players Theatre in The West Village. The production is part of Be Bold! Productions’ Murder on MacDougal series which produced Murder on the Links in 2021 and Murder on the Nile in 2019.

On Saturday, April 30th, 2022, dance comedy duo The Raving Jaynes will present 'If You Say So' at the Players Theatre. If You Say So! weaves audience suggestions into on the spot stories, dances and songs, accompanied by live pianist, Rachel Dean.

Agatha Christie's renowned murder mystery novel, And Then There Were None, published in 1939 and adapted for the stage by Ms. Christie in 1943 is being staged at the Players Theatre in The West Village.

Tiananmen Requiem, directed by Dennis Yueh Yeh Li, is the love story of a gay People's Liberation Army soldier and a protesting student against the backdrop of the Tiananmen Square Massacre. It will play March 10-27 at The Players Theatre, 115 MacDougal Street in New York City.
