The Old Globe Announces COVID-19 Health And Safety Policies

The Old Globe announced that in order to provide the safest and healthiest space possible for patrons, staff, casts, program participants, and crews, as of Tuesday, August 24, 2021, all patrons who attend an event or performance at The Old Globe will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and present proof of vaccination in order to enter its theatres.
La Jolla Playhouse's Eric Keen-Louie Appointed to New Role of Executive Producer

La Jolla Playhouse has announced that Eric Keen-Louie, who joined the Playhouse in 2018 as Producing Director, will take on the new role of Executive Producer at the Theatre. As lead producer, Keen-Louie will collaborate with Playhouse staff to oversee assembling creative teams, casting, production budgets, and artistic development.

The Old Globe brings back this musical with an incredibly talented cast who have outstanding vocals, and direction that shows how relevant the show's themes still are today. Just two days before the opening performance of the American tribal love-rock musical Hair and amid strong demand in tickets, The Old Globe announced a one-week extension of the show due to popular demand. Resident Artist James Vásquez (The Old Globe’s American Mariachi and Tiny Beautiful Things) directs a cast of 16.
