A gentler offering from Stephen Schwartz’s catalogue, this immersive show whisks you away to a time long past with a phenomenal ensemble who find the heart and soul in their characters. Perhaps the mistake made 50 years ago was attempting to bring The Baker’s Wife to a larger space. In the Menier’s intimate space, it makes for a real treat.

All new rehearsal photos ahve been released for The Menier Chocolate Factory’s major revival of Stephen Schwartz and Joseph Stein’s The Baker’s Wife with Lucie Jones and Clive Rowe. The production opens on 17 July, with previews from 6 July, and runs until 14 September.

The New Broadway Cast Recording of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth’s MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG is out tonight Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 12:01AM ET.

As BroadwayWorld first reported in September, The Heart of Rock and Roll is coming to Broadway! Producers Hunter Arnold, Tyler Mitchell and Kayla Greenspan announced that the new musical inspired by the iconic songs of Huey Lewis and The News, will open on Broadway at The James Earl Jones Theatre.

The Menier Chocolate Factory has announced full casting for their co-production with the Umeda Arts Theater of Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman’s Pacific Overtures.

All new rehearsal photos have been released for the upcoming Broadway revival of MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG, which begins performances at Broadway’s Hudson Theatre on Tuesday, September 19.

Dazzling Divas, written and performed by Issy van Randwyck, is a mesmerising musical journey illuminating the lives and work of legendary performers Billie Holiday, Marilyn Monroe, Patsy Cline, Janis Joplin, Mama Cass, Karen Carpenter and Dusty Springfield. The full cast has been announced to join Olivier Award-winning stage legend Jenna Russell in the London premiere of the musical FLOWERS FOR MRS HARRIS this autumn.

Jordan Harrison’s 2015 Pulitzer Prize finalist is a reflection on mortality that doesn’t dare to go into the depths of the matter. It ends up being rather stagnant philosophically and anthropologically, but Dominic Dromgoole’s latest production is a delicate take. Running at 85 minutes on paper but around 70 in reality, the piece’s greatly sophisticated performances and sleek look save it from its redundant nature.

All new rehearsal images have ben released for The Menier Chocolate Factory’s production of Marjorie Prime. The production opens on 15 March, with previews from 3 March and runs until 6 May.
