There is a stellar line-up at St Helens Theatre Royal this May. Iconic stars of sport, music tributes, kids classics and laugh out loud comedy all combine to make it an unmissable month for audiences young and old.

Music fans are being invited to the biggest party of the year when the unstoppable Magic of Motown steams into town.

On Saturday, May 4 at 7:30 pm, Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) will continue its highly touted Jazz Masters series with the Gerry Malkin Jazz Collective, renowned artists who have been called a 'quintessential... group that plays top-notch music' with pedigrees that 'run deep in the jazz hierarchy.' Led by Malkin on tenor sax, the distinctive post bebop sound of the Collective interprets music of the classic era of mid-twentieth century jazz from Miles Davis to John Coltrane. The group will play at WCT's Black Box at 23 Water St.

The International Festival of Arts & Ideas today announced complete details for Festival 2019, which opens on June 8 and continues for two weeks through June 22 in New Haven, Connecticut.

Bringing crowd-favorite, chart-topping tunes to the Van Wezel on Friday, April 26 at 8 p.m. are legendary bands, The Temptations and The Four Tops! Since The Temptations were known for their for smooth stepping, "The Temptation Walk" became a staple of American style. The Philly POPS and the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts will present the School District of Philadelphia's All-City Jazz Festival. The day of free jazz performances by student and professional musicians will be held in the Kimmel Center's Perelman Theater and Commonwealth Plaza on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 from noon 9 p.m. This will be the POPS's fifth year presenting this event and the third year in partnership with the Kimmel Center.

The Music Business Association (Music Biz) today announces this year's inductees for its Music Business Hall of Fame, including the late Sir George Martin, who will be inducted by his son Giles Martin. The Paley Center for Media will present Shaping Our Nation's Story: African- American Achievements in Television Presented by Citi from February 1-28. Coinciding with the 60th anniversary of Motown and the 100th birthday anniversary celebration of Jackie Robinson, this monthlong celebration will take place at the Paley Center's locations in New York City and Beverly Hills and will feature an interactive exhibit, family craft activities, education classes for high school students focusing on the civil rights movement, and screenings that take visitors on a nostalgic journey through the most significant African-American moments in television.
