YANNI's up-close-and-personal a?oePure Yannia?? tour lands at Playhouse Square's KeyBank State Theatre Dec. 3 at 8 pm. One of the most celebrated composers and multi-gold and platinum-selling artists of our time will give fans an intimate look at his songs, his writing process and his inspirations with Pure Yanni. The show presents Yanni and his music in its purest form, on the piano and spotlight his understanding and interaction with different cultures as well as his experience planning and performing in mega shows in some of the most revered places on earth. His concert will be up-close and personal and include a live Q&A with the audience. No two evenings of this concert are ever alike.

The Winter Celebration concert features the four levels of orchestras in InterSchool Orchestras of New York including Morningside, Carnegie Hill, Concert Orchestra and the ISO Symphony, conducted by Dr. Matt Rotjan, Steve Rochen, Joseph Meyers, and Barry Stern respectively. The ISO Symphony will be joined on stage by Renée Manning and members of Mingus Dynasty, providing a snapshot of ISO's dynamic season and showcasing the achievement of the students.

Today, on Mose Allison's birthday, Fat Possum Records releases two newly-recorded Allison tracks from IF YOU'RE GOING TO  THE CITY:  A Tribute To Mose Allison, out November 29. Pixies vocalist Frank Black has recorded 'Numbers on Paper,' while punk icon Iggy Pop puts his spin on the title track. IF YOU'RE GOING TO THE CITY also benefits Sweet Relief, which assists musicians in need. 

InterSchool Orchestras of New York and the Mingus Dynasty are collaborating to present MINGUS.  This concert features never-before-heard full orchestra arrangements of popular Mingus tunes arranged by Earl McIntyre.  It will also feature solo performances by the Mingus Dynasty.

Deadline reports that 'Once Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson and the Band,' which will premiere tonight at the Toronto Film Festival, has been acquired by Magnolia Features.
