Carnegie Hall Announces 2020-2021 AMERICAN BYWAYS Concerts

Carnegie Hall today announced the all-star lineup of artists for two exciting double-bill American Byways concerts to be presented in Zankel Hall in the 2020a?"2021 season. Curated and hosted by singer-songwriter Rosanne Cash (who was a Carnegie Hall Perspectives artist in the 2015a?"2016 season), these one-of-a kind performances take New York audiences on a journey through American roots music, featuring Appalachian traditions, the blues, and more.

Sara Bareilles and Gavin Creel Will Extend Performances In WAITRESS

Waitress audiences have an additional chance to see 2020 Grammy Award winner Sara Bareilles and Olivier and Tony Award-winning actor Gavin Creel as new performance dates have been added following a rapturous critical and public reception at the Adelphi Theatre. Sara Bareilles, who wrote the music and lyrics for Waitress, is making her West End debut in the lead role of Jenna with Gavin Creel as Dr Pomatter having previously performed together on the Broadway run. They will be extending for a further two weeks, now appearing through to 21 March 2020.

Los Lobos Will Perform At Indian Ranch

Indian Ranch announced that Los Lobos will perform as part of the Indian Ranch Summer Concert Series in Webster, MA on Saturday, September 12th at 1:00 PM. Tickets go on-sale this Friday, February 21 at 10:00 AM and the Insiders Club Presale will take place Thursday, February 20 at 10:00 AM.

AMC Announces its Projects Currently in Development

At the Television Critics' Association (TCA) Press Tour, AMC Networks and AMC Studios announced a partial list of current projects in development. The broad slate, which includes potential AMC Studios series being developed for the company's Entertainment Group and also projects being developed for potential sale to other content companies, reflects fresh ideas and strong voices from creators and talent including Scott Z. Burns, Katie Couric, Owen and Stephen King, Megan Mostyn Brown, Armadu Garba, Eliza Clark, Mark Johnson, Zack Whedon, Scott Gold, Ilana Glazer, T Bone Burnett and many others.

Mandy Moore to Release First New Album in 10 Years on March 6

On March 6th, Mandy Moore will release her seventh studio album, Silver Landings, via Verve Forecast. Her first new album in 10 years, 'Silver Landings' is a reference to a lyric on the album's titular last song: 'Reaching for golden ribbons up in the air/But I'm looking for silver landings.' The title track was the last song Moore wrote for the album and became emblematic of THE JOURNEY she's been through in the past decade, what it took to get to the point of re-embracing this part of her life, and the expectations therein.

BWW Interview: SALVAGE Playwright Tim Alderson - From Music To Farming & Back

Former music creative and fifth-generation farmer Tim Alderson's first initial foray into playwriting SALVAGE opens Saturday, November 16, 2019 at The Lounge Theatre. With music from his long-time cohorts Mark Heard, Pat Terry, and Randy VanWarmer, SALVAGE revolves around struggling singer-songwriter Harley's decision to pawn his guitar and look for some means of stable income for his wife and soon-to-come newborn. Damian D. Lewis directs the ensemble of David Atkinson, Christopher Fordinal, Nina Herzog and Leonard Earl Howze. Tim was gracious enough to make some time to answer my queries.

Lacy J. Dalton Celebrates 40 Years In Country Music

Country hit-maker Lacy J. Dalton is celebrating her 40th anniversary in country music, and of her hit single 'Crazy Blue Eyes' released in the fall of 1979. Lacy J. Dalton gained prominence in the late 1970's as one of the fastest rising stars. With the launch of her first single “Crazy Blue Eyes,” Dalton saw her career rise as the song broke the U.S. Hot Country Charts in 1979, and eventually became a Top 20 hit while on rotation at radio stations throughout the country. After the release of “Crazy Blue Eyes,” Lacy J. continued her streak in country music with 'Takin' It Easy' and 'Everybody Makes Mistakes,' before releasing her signature song, “16th Avenue,” all four reaching the Top 20 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs.
