The highly-anticipated Stephen King and John Mellencamp collaborative musical 'Ghost Brothers of Darkland County' has reportedly announced preliminary casting. The musical is expected to premiere at Georgia's Alliance Theatre in Atlanta during September 2010.

The Golden Satellite Awards ceremony was held December 20 at the Grand Salon of the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, California. Winners include the HBO film Grey Gardens, and the documentary film 'Every Little Step' which chronicles the 2006 revival of A Chorus Line. Broadcast Film Critics Association has announced the nominees for the 15th annual Critics Choice Movie Awards. The winners will be honored in a ceremony on January 15th the Hollywood Palladium. VH1 will telecast the event live.

Nominations for the 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards were announced tonight by The Recording Academy and reflected an eclectic mix of the best and brightest over the past year in music, as determined by the voting members of The Academy.

Film Independent, the non-profit arts organization that produces the Spirit Awards and the Los Angeles Film Festival, announced nominations this morning for the 25th Film Independent Spirit Awards. Nominees for Best Feature include (500) Days Of Summer, Amreeka, Precious, Sin Nombre and The Last Station. Taraji P. Henson and Matt Dillon also announced finalists for the Acura Someone to Watch Award, the Truer Than Fiction Award, and the Piaget Producers Award. A Serious Man was selected for the Robert Altman Award, which is given to one film's director, casting director and ensemble cast.

The Golden Satellite Nominations were announced today and the film version of Maury Yeston's 'Nine' received 11 nominations, inclduing Best Motion Picture and Best Director for Rob Marshall. In addition, television favorite 'Glee' received 5 nominations including Best Television Series, Best Actor in a Series for Matthew Morrison and Best Actress in a Series Lea Michele.
