BWW Interview: EDWARD TULANE's Brady Dalton Richards JOURNEYs to the Glamorous Life

24th Street Theatre presents its latest for kids (and for the kids in all of us), the Los Angeles premiere of THE MIRACULOUS JOURNEY OF EDWARD TULANE, opening April 6, 2019 at their converted carriage house at the edge of L.A.'s historic West Adams district. I acquired the chance to query Brady Dalton Richards, one of the four-person, EDWARD TULANE ensemble. Brady tackles a number of roles, not including the porcelain rabbit named Edward Tulane.

BWW Review: Syracuse University Department of Drama Presents an Intoxicating Production of THE WILD PARTY

The music, the lyrics, the story, and the characters - every element of Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party is very intense and intriguing. This production, presented by the Syracuse University Department of Drama at Syracuse Stage, doesn't hold back either. Set in the Jazz Age of the Roaring '20s, this production features a stellar cast, impressive set and lighting design by Alex Koziara, and meticulously detailed direction by Katherine McGerr. The spot-on choreography by Andrea Leigh-Smith and the powerhouse performances of the entire cast take center stage in this wild performance of Lippa's The Wild Party.

Syracuse University Department of Drama Presents THE WILD PARTY

The Syracuse University Department of Drama resumes its 2018-2019 season with 'The Wild Party,'written and composed by Andrew Lippa. Faculty members Katherine McGerr and Andrea Lee Smith will take the audience into the world of the Roaring '20s with their direction and choreography. The musical will run from March 29 through April 7 in the Syracuse Stage/ Drama Complex, 820 East Genesee Street, Syracuse, New York, 13210.

Farmers Alley Theatre Presents THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHTTIME

Farmers Alley Theatre presents the Southwest Michigan premiere of the acclaimed Tony Award winning new play, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, based on the best-selling book of the same name. Running March 15-31, Farmers Alley Theatre is also pleased to announce that thanks in large part to several local organizations, we will be reinstating our Student Ticket Initiative for this production, which provides free student tickets to those who wish to attend the show (subject to availability). "This is a story about a uniquely gifted young adult, that we feel is very important for students to have the opportunity to see, without the barrier of a ticket price," states Executive Director Adam Weiner.

Second Stage Theater has announced SOMMER CARBUCCIA, MATT DALLAL, JAKEIM HART, ERIKA HENNINGSEN, KENNEDY KENAGAWA, ALEC MATHIESON, SARAH NAUGHTON, GABRIELLA PEREZ, JONATHAN RAVIV, NATHAN SALSTONE and KYLE SELIG will perform SATURDAY NIGHT as a part of the special concert series, MUSICAL MONDAYS, in celebration of the acclaimed company's 40th anniversary. NOAH BRADY directs the performance on Monday, March 11th, featuring musical direction by ALEXANDER GEMIGNANI.

Syracuse Stage Cold Read Festival Gets Hotter In Second Year

All plays were once new plays. That's the idea behind Syracuse Stage's Cold Read Festival of New Plays. 2019 Garden State Film Festival Names Drew Henriksen Screenplay Competition Winner For A BROOKLYN CHRISTMAS

The 2019 Garden State Film Festival (GSFF) is thrilled to announce Drew Henriksen as this year's Screenplay Competition Winner for'A BROOKLYN CHRISTMAS.' The GSFF Screenplay Competition was instituted to recognize the importance of the writer as the foundation for a really great film. There will be a live reading of this screenplay on Saturday March 30th 12:00 Noon-2:00p.m. at The Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel in Asbury Park, 1401 Ocean Avenue, Oval Room on the 2nd Floor.

Syracuse University's Upcoming Drama Production Investigates The Act Of Storytelling

The Syracuse University Department of Drama continues the 18/19 season with "We Are Proud to Present a Presentation About the Herero of Namibia, Formerly Known as Southwest Africa, From the German Sudwestafrika, Between the Years 1884-1915" written by Jackie Sibblies Drury and directed by Gilbert McCauley. The play runs Feb. 22 - March 3 in the Arthur Storch Theatre, 820 E. Genesee St., Syracuse.

The Joffrey Academy of Dance Presents Four World Premieres

The Joffrey Academy of Dance, Official School of The Joffrey Ballet presents four world premieres in the culmination of Joffrey's national call for ALAANA (African, Latinx, Asian, Arab and Native American) artists to submit applications for the Joffrey Academy's Ninth Annual Winning Works Choreographic Competition. This year's Competition winners-Tommie-Waheed Evans, Marissa Osato, Xiang Xu and Edgar Zendejas-each have choreographed an original work created on the Joffrey Academy Trainees and Studio Company. Winning Works returns to the Museum of Contemporary Art's Edlis Neeson Theater (220 E. Chicago Avenue) for three performances, Saturday, March 9 at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM and Sunday, March 10 at 2:00 PM.
