The Canadian Donald Sutherland will be honoured with a Donostia Award recognising his more than fifty years of excellent performances. BendFilm announced today that legendary writer and director Ron Shelton will screen his 1988 directorial debut, Bull Durham, and moderate the 'First Features' panel as part of his role as First Features Honoree at the 16th annual BendFilm Festival. Shelton's illustrious career also includes films such as Blaze, White Men Can't Jump, Cobb, Tin Cup, and Hollywood Homicide. Shelton's work spans four decades with more than ten screenwriting and writer/director credits to his name. First Features honorees from past Festivals include John Sayles & Maggie Renzi (2016), Peter Gilbert (2017) and Debra Granik (2018).

Colin Salmon, star of the James Bond film series, Netflix's Master of None and Syfy's Krypton, has been confirmed to join the cast of the Howard Zinn biopic, The Time Of Our Lies. Guest starring for one night on 2 August, Colin will play the lead role as the American historian, author and social activist, Howard Zinn. Daniel Benzali will star as Howard Zinn for the remainder of the run. With Trang Le and Jessye Romeo also joining the ensemble, The Time Of Our Lies is written by Bianca Bagatourian and directed by Che Walker, with movement by Maureen Fleming.

Disney's musical film Enchanted first premiered 12 years ago, and ever since, fans have been anticipating a sequel. The rumored sequel, titled Disenchanted, had allegedly been in the works without any official announcement. Now, it seems this long-awaited film may come to fruition soon, according to ComicBook.com.

The cast for Richard O'Brien's Rocky Horror Show at Storyhouse in Chester this Autumn have been announced.

The Rocky Horror Show continues to play to packed houses as it tours the length and breadth of the UK throughout 2019 featuring a wealth of star performers. More than 100,000 people have seen the show during the tour and there are no signs of this incredible cast slowing down. Strictly star Joanne Clifton, who has been delighting audiences and receiving rave reviews as Janet, will continue to don her corset and fishnets as she extends her role in the musical extravaganza for a further six months until the end of the 2019 tour. Joanne said: "I absolutely love playing Janet, so I'm delighted to continue with the show throughout the year".
