Following the success of Sue Jin Song's one-woman show Children of Medea, Constellation Theatre Company presents the intimate two-person musical The Last Five Years as the second production in Season 14: Electric Impulses.

Constellation Theatre’s Children of Medea, written and performed by Sue Jin Song, and directed by Allison Arkell Stockman, transcends the usual humdrum of these stories into pure surreal art. 

Constellation Theatre Company will kick off Season 14: Electric Impulses with Sue Jin Song's powerful one-woman show, Children of Medea. The production will be fully staged and filmed at CulturalDC's Source Theatre using a dynamic multi-camera setup and streamed online to audiences across the DC area and beyond.

If the cultural and historical relevance weren't enough incentive, Theater J's production of 'The Jewish Queen Lear' will make you glad for the current revitalization of Yiddish theater. The play is an emotional journey, with insights into family, power, pride, and love. 'Mirele Efros' is a surprisingly modern play, and 'The Jewish Queen Lear' honors both the past and present in its performance. It's a touching story, a wonderful cast of characters (in both senses of the phrase), and a beautiful production.

Frank X is making his Theater J debut as Shalmen in the upcoming production of 'The Jewish Queen Lear' (also known as 'Mirele Efros'), which runs at Georgetown University's Davis Performing Arts Center in the Gonda Theatre from March 13th through April 7th.

Theater J completes its four-show 2018-2019 season Around Town with the English language premiere of the Yiddish theater classic The Jewish Queen Lear, a translation of Jacob Gordin's Mirele Efros. The Jewish Queen Lear runs at Georgetown University's Davis Performing Arts Center in the Gonda Theatre March 13 - April 7. The press is invited to Opening Night of The Jewish Queen Lear on Monday, March 18 at 7:30 PM.
