BroadwayCon just got a whole lot more fetch! The award-winning Broadway musical comedy Mean Girls has joined the MainStage lineup for the annual convention for Broadway fans.

Broadway's Mean Girls and Atlantic Records have released the official music video for 'I'd Rather Be Me' from the award-winning hit musical featuring Barrett Wilbert Weed, who currently performs as Janis Sarkisian in the show.  The video had its exclusive premiere yesterday via Rolling Stone, who called it both 'empowering' and 'uplifting.'  'I'd Rather Be Me' is featured on the 'Mean Girls Original Cast Recording,' out now.  The 'Mean Girls Original Cast Recording,' was produced by Jeff Richmond, Nell Benjamin, Tina Fey, Mary-Mitchell Campbell and Lorne Michaels and co-produced by Pete Ganbarg, Craig Rosen and John Clancy.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) will begin performances of the MOBILE UNIT NATIONAL TOUR of Lynn Nottage's powerful Pulitzer Prize-winning play, SWEAT, directed by Kate Whoriskey, on September 27 in Erie, Pennsylvania.

SHN is pleased to announce the First National Tour of Mean Girls-the record-breaking new musical comedy produced by Lorne Michaels, Stuart Thompson, Sonia Friedman, and Paramount Pictures based on the hilarious hit film-will be coming to San Francisco as part of the 2019-2020 SHN Season.

The "Mean Girls Original Broadway Cast Recording" on Atlantic Records will get a vinyl release on Friday, August 24. The next week, Urban Outfitters will host an exclusive fan signing event with members of the Mean Girls Broadway cast and creative team at their flagship Herald Square store location

West End Stage summer school celebrated reaching its milestone 10,000th student with a special visit from West End leading lady Marisha Wallace at the school's rehearsal space in the theatre at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama on 17 August.

How fetch! Mean Girls will celebrate "Mean Girls Day" on October 3, which this year falls on a "pink" Wednesday, with a free fan performance! The show will take place at 7:00pm at the August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street), featuring special appearances by members of the Mean Girls creative team. The Plastics reign yet again! The award-winning hit new Broadway musical Mean Girls, produced by Lorne Michaels, Stuart Thompson, Sonia Friedman, and Paramount Pictures, has once again broken the August Wilson Theatre box office record for an eight performance week, grossing $1,572,995.95 for the week ending June 17, 2018. A new block of tickets has been released for performances through Sunday, July 7, 2019 with group bookings open through November 24, 2019.

Mean Girls will launch a National Tour in the Fall of 2019 beginning at Shea's Buffalo Theatre. The show will also tech and rehearse at Shea's in the weeks preceding public performances. Mean Girls features a book by nine-time Emmy Award winner Tina Fey, based on her screenplay for the film, music by three-time Emmy Award winner Jeff Richmond; and lyrics by two-time Tony Award nominee Nell Benjamin.
