BOYNTON BEACH CLUB is a poignant musical comedy about people's amazing capacity to rebound and fall in love again at any age. It's the story of Baby Boomers living in South Florida, whose lives intersect at a local bereavement group where they go to find emotional support after the loss of a loved one. However, they soon find themselves back in the "dating game" again after decades of married life, only to discover that all the rules have changed! Those who think that new love and romance end well before retirement age are in for a reality check.

Beach Haven's Surflight Theatre, under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Steve Steiner, is back for its 70th show stopping season. The theatre's mainstage season opener is Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn, a song and dance spectacular based on the classic Bing Crosby/Fred Astaire film of the same name that features even more toe tapping tunes by one of America's most prolific songwriters.

Surflight Theatre, under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Steve Steiner, presents Bright Star for its NEW JERSEY PREMIER! Featuring the Grammy-nominated score by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell. Set in the American South of the 1920s and '40s.,BRIGHT STAR won the 2016 Outer Critics Circle Awards for Best Musical and Best Score and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Music. It also received five 2016 Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical, Best Score, Best Book, Best Lead Actress in a Musical, and Best Orchestrations.

New Jersey Theatre Alliance ("the Alliance") announced that Surflight Theatre of Beach Haven, Art House Productions of Jersey City, and Speranza Theatre Company of Jersey City have joined the other 31 professional, producing theatres of New Jersey as members of the Alliance. Founded in 1981, the Alliance was the first statewide service organization for professional, not-for-profit theatre companies in the United States, and is a leader in developing model programs that unite, promote, strengthen, and cultivate professional theatre in New Jersey.

A Rock Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar is set against the backdrop of an extraordinary and universally-known series of events but seen, unusually, through the eyes of Judas Iscariot.

Surflight Theatre, after a thrilling return from bankruptcy in 2017, under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Steve Steiner, presents their first Mainstage production of 2018 with Nice Work If You Can Get It. A hilarious new screwball comedy, Nice Work pokes fun at the Prohibition era in a clash of elegant socialites and boorish bootleggers. This show is set to the glorious songs of George and Ira Gershwin including "Fascinating Rhythm", "Someone to Watch Over Me", and of course the title track "Nice Work If You Can Get It." The musical is sure to thrill the Long Beach Island audiences with its unforgettable score, lyrics, and vibrant dancing.

The Surflight Theatre and its five- building compound are under new ownership by Al Parinello Entertainment LLC, a New Jersey business owned by Garden State native and Old Tappan resident, Al Parinello, who has deep experience in the entertainment and radio space.

Surflight Theatre under the leadership of  Producing Artistic Director Steve Steiner and under the new ownership of Al Parinello (Producer The People in the Picture, The Fantasticks) will be reopening officially after a 2 year closure and bankruptcy liquidation on June 23rd with the musical sensation Footloose based on the 1980's blockbuster movie of the same name. With mega hits like Holding Out for a Hero, Almost Paradise , Let's Hear it for the Boy and of course the title track Footloose, the musical is sure to thrill the Long Beach Island audiences with its unforgettable score, vibrant dancing and  poignant story of youth, rebellion and family.

The Elementary school children of Beach Haven School, a grade school of under 100 students, were deeply saddened in January 2015 when the sitting Board of Surflight Theatre announced they could no longer keep the theatre open and they were filing for liquidation.

Bristol Riverside Theatre opens the hit rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar starting March 21 and running through April 16. 

According to Press of Atlantic City, local favorite Surflight Theatre will reopen following two quiet seasons. The theatre closed in 2015 after a failed restructuring in 2013. Surflight's upcoming season is scheduled for June 23rd starting with a production of FOOTLOOSE. Also slated for the season are shows such as NEWSIES, HAIRSPRAY, and MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET.

The beloved Surflight Theatre which survived 65 seasons, Hurricane Sandy and closed in early 2015 after a failed restructuring in 2013, will reopen on June 23, 2017 with the popular Dean Pitchford, Walter Bobbie, Tom Snow Musical Footloose.

Bristol Riverside Theatre continues its 30th Anniversary season with the hit rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar, running March 21-April 16.  With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, Jesus Christ Superstar is directed by Keith Baker, music directed by Douglass Lutz, with choreography by Stephen Casey and features Julian Alvarez, Derrick Cobey, Patrick H. Dunn, Robert Farruggia, Adam Kemmerer, Ciji Prosser, Darren Ritchie, Danny Rutigliano, and Steve Steiner.  The ensemble features Jason Taylor Armstrong, Daniel Bontempo, Elena Camp, John DiFerdinando, Maggie Griffin-Smith, Megan Helen Jones, Lauren Krigel, Caitlin Ort, William Pazdziora,  Miriam Grace Payne, Christopher J. Perugini, Dominick Sannelli,  Keith L. Watford, and Timothy Walton.
