The Muny announced today that it will offer 10 weeks of free online Muny entertainment for the summer of 2020. For 10 consecutive Monday nights, with a single repeat stream on the subsequent Thursday, audiences and fans can experience the magic of their Muny summer online at muny.org with both curated and newly created entertainment.

The 10th Annual BROADWAY BELTS FOR PFF! honoring 12-time Tony Award-Winning Broadway producer Daryl Roth and hosted by Broadway's Julie Halston (Tootsie, You Can't Take it With You, Sex and the City) took place at the Edison Ballroom, with over 300 guests in attendance.

An annual sold-out event that is an exclusive New York musical theater experience, BROADWAY BELTS FOR PFF! featured Broadway stars performing some of their favorite songs and original pieces to benefit the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF). The benefit began as a tribute to Michael Kuchwara, Associated Press theater critic, who died suddenly of pulmonary fibrosis in 2010. Julie Halston, a founding partner of the event, is one of the PFF's leading advocates nationwide and shined as the evening's host (Her Broadway credits include Tootsie, Hairspray, Gypsy, and You Can't Take It With You).

Theatre Under The Stars has announced that Tony Award winner Levi Kreis will star as 'Dusty' in the new musical Pure Country. Under the development of TUTS, the musical is being adapted for the stage from the beloved 1992 film starring George Strait.

The 10th Annual BROADWAY BELTS FOR PFF! will take place on Monday, February 24 at the Edison Ballroom. The Muny's current production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella is definitely not Walt Disney's Cinderella. It is nothing like Perrault's or the Grimm Brothers' Cinderella. It's not even pure Rodgers & Hammerstein, but rather a 2013 adaptation based on Rodgers & Hammerstein with a new book by Douglas Carter Beane. This musical holds the essence of your beloved fairytale but is infused (I must warn you upfront) with complicating new characters, a clumsy reordering of the original songs, and a conspicuous political subplot.
