The inaugural Palm Springs International Comedy Festival www.palmspringscomedyfest.com celebrated the top names in comedy at a special awards gala held on November 10 at the Hotel Zoso & Spa in downtown Palm Springs. The star studded, black tie event honored the best comedic celebrity talents in stand-up, film and television. Comedian Kathy Griffin was presented with the 'Comedian of the Year' Award, while Illeana Douglas received the 'Pioneer in Comedy Award' for the first ever branded Web series 'Easy To Assemble.' The award-winning cast and production team of Paramount's summer blockbuster 'Book Club' were presented with the 'Stanley Kramer Mad World Comedy Award.'

Palm Springs International Comedy Festival (PSICF) has partnered with the nation's new urban television network, Step1 TV, to present the festival's winner of the stand up competition a half-hour comedy special on KTVA channel 35.10. Step1 TV, available on TV, OTR platforms and via its App, is now available to over 250 million homes, including approximately 10 million in Los Angeles County and surrounding regions.

 The 8th annual Catalina Film Festival (CFF) wrapped with awards issued in 14 film categories – selected from 100 films in competition from 67 countries – screened at venues throughout the famed Catalina Island as well as new sister-city-by-the-sea, Long Beach. The annual film festival also featured career tributes, as well as industry panels, workshops and Lion's Den pitch session as part of the festival's Film & New Media Summit.

Catalina Film Fest (CFF) is excited to announce it will celebrate 8 years of cinema on beautiful Catalina Island by expanding to a new sister city by the sea: Long Beach. The inaugural partnership will connect the island festival experience to the mainland Sept. 26-30, 2018, bookending CFF with 'launch' and 'landing' premieres, parties and panels Wednesday-Thursday and Sunday in Long Beach. Catalina Island will play host to CFF Friday and Saturday, with Festival-chartered party cruises to and from Catalina Classic Cruises' Queen Mary Terminal daily.

The Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced today that Kevin Feige will be honored with the 2019 David O. Selznick Achievement Award recognizing the producer's body of work in motion pictures. Feige will receive the award at the 30th Annual Producers Guild Awards on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles.

Ryan Murphy has taken to Twitter to announce that Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy and Stevie Nicks will be returning for American Horror Story: Apocalypse. This news comes not long after it was announced that Jessica Lange would also be returning to reprise her Murder House character, Constance Langdon.

Earlier today, American Horror Story shared a trailer for its latest installment, Apocalypse. The trailer comes not long after it was confirmed that Jessica Lange will return to the series in Apocalypse, in an episode that Sarah Paulson will direct.

Today, the American Horror Story social media accounts shared a new image revealing the highly-anticipated theme for the eighth season. The upcoming season has been confirmed to be a crossover between Murder House (season 1) and Coven (season 3). Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Billie Lourd, Leslie Grossman, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, and newcomer Joan Collins are all set to star in the upcoming season.
