BroadwayHD has announced its lineup of releases slated for February 2020!

2019 has come and gone, and we are reflecting on those we have lost in the Broadway and theatre communities throughout the year.

Singin' in the Rain, the stage musical based on the 1952 film directed by Gene Kelly and Stanley Donen, is one of those guarantees. But NextStop Theatre Company's new production, their 2018-19 season closer, is not complacent to simply let the natural charms of this show lure in its audience. They've built a showcase for a dynamic ensemble of on and offstage talent, and the work put into every single moment is palpable and dazzlingly joyful.

In 2016, Derek Hough was set to star in a Broadway revival of Singin' In The Rain. However, later that year, BroadwayWorld reported that the production had been cancelled, due to lack of available theatres.

Dance into Spring with The Winter Park Playhouse as they continue their series of professional musicals with the Southeastern Regional Premiere of What A Glorious Feeling! The Story of Singin' In The Rain, March 15 through April 13, 2019. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m., Thursday and Saturday matinee performances at 2 p.m. and select Friday and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.

The zany lightweight hit transferred to the stage in the early 80s and showed the craziness that may have happened when the big movie studios were transitioning from silents to talkies in the late 20s. Now in a fun-filled revival at Candlelight Pavilion Dinner Theatre, it's all brought back to vibrant theatrical life by skilled director DJ Gray and a delicious company of triple threats through June 2.
