Herding Cats is now running at Soho Theatre through 22 May 2021. Anthony Banks directs Jassa Ahluwalia (Unforgotten, Peaky Blinders) as Michael, Greg Germann (Grey’s Anatomy, Friends From College and Ally McBeal) as Saddo, and Sophie Melville as Justine (Pops, Iphigenia in Splott). 

OHenry Productions and Stellar, in association with Soho Theatre will present the transatlantic production of Herding Cats by Lucinda Coxon, combining live in-person and streamed theatre. Anthony Banks directs Jassa Ahluwalia as Michael, Greg Germann as Saddo, and Sophie Melville as Justine.

The fabled date is getting nearer!  For months, May 17 has loomed large in the calendar of London theatreland as the signal for playhouses to reopen their doors after a five-month lockdown - a period of closure that has, of course, been much longer in New York for the simple reason that London theaters did at least flicker partially to life last autumn.

The cast for the five monologues written for Love In The Time of Corona, as part of HighTide's Lighthouse Programme, have now been released.

Bringing Pops from critically acclaimed writer Charlotte Josephine (Bitch Boxer; Blush) to the stage this summer are Nigel Barrett (Mysteries, Royal Exchange; Party Skills for the End of the World, Manchester International Festival and Shoreditch Town Hall) and the multi-award winning Sophie Melville (Wolfie, Theatre 503; Iphigenia in Splott, National Theatre, Broadway transfer and international tour) as a father and daughter caught in a cycle of addiction.

Audible, the world's leading producer and provider of spoken-word entertainment, today deepens its commitment to UK theatre announcing a new London production of Radio written by Al Smith. Josh Roche directs Adam Gillen as Charlie Fairbanks in a one-man play about memory, love and spaceships. The production opens at Arcola Theatre on 24 June, with previews from 19 June and runs until 13 July. To coincide with the opening of the stage show, a studio recording of Radio will also release exclusively on Audible this summer, available for members to download worldwide.

Theatre503 has announced ERIN DOHERTY and SOPHIE MELVILLE as the cast for 503Five playwright Ross Willis' debut play Wolfie. Erin was recently featured by the Evening Standard as a 'rising star' and plays Princess Anne in the forthcoming series of Netflix hit The Crown. Sophie's credits include Iphigenia in Splott, for which she received The Stage Award for Acting Excellence and Wales Theatre Award for Best Female Performance, and nominations for Evening Standard Award for Best Actress and Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Solo Performance.

With their first foray into new writing, Chippy Lane Productions present the world premiere of BLUE - the debut play of young Welsh writer Rhys Warrington. BLUE shines a light on the current state of innumerable families across Wales, one of the most pressing issues facing the UK as vital medical and NHS services are cut. It focuses on the negative impact on those struggling to care for the vulnerable without funding.

Sheffield Theatres and Out of Joint today announce that Adiza Shardow joins the company of Close Quarters playing Private Sarah Findlay. She joins Bradley Banton (Lieutenant Adeyemi), Chloe-Ann Tylor (Private Gillian Cormack), Dylan Wood (Private Brian Armstrong), Sophie Melville (Private Clare Davies) and Kathryn O'Reilly (Captain Anna Sands) in Kate Wasserberg's production. The production will resume from 27 October. 

Kate Bowen's funny, filthy, heartfelt play about three young women who are the very first British female infantry soldiers was the perfect project for Out of Joint to make with our brilliant partners at Sheffield. It deals with politics but doesn't tell you what to think, reaches out to its audience and makes them laugh, and is great night out, full of hope and fury and humour.

The production opens on 29 October, with previews from 25 October, and runs until 10 November.

Winners for the 63rd Annual Drama Desk Awards were announced just last night at The Town Hall. In keeping with Drama Desk's mission, nominators considered shows that opened on Broadway, Off Broadway and Off-Off Broadway during the 2017-2018 New York theater season in the same competitive categories.

The time has come for the 63rd Annual Drama Desk Awards, hosted by Michael Urie, June 3 (8:00 PM) at The Town Hall in Manhattan.
