Royal & Derngate Northampton, Theatre Royal Bath Productions, and Oxford Playhouse present the multi award-winning drama Blue/Orange, which opens at Theatre Royal Bath's Ustinov Studio from 29 October to 13 November 2021, before dates at Oxford Playhouse from 16 November to 20 November 2021 and Royal & Derngate, Northampton from 23 November to 4 December 2021.
Hampstead Theatre Announces Alfred Fagon's THE DEATH OF A BLACK MAN and RAYA

Hampstead Theatre has announced its first live productions for 2021. Alfred Fagon's darkly compelling, The Death of a Black Man will run from 28 May until 10 July having originally premiered at the theatre in 1975. 46 years on, this rare revival from the Black British playwriting canon, raises many of the same questions we face today surrounding identity, capitalism and sexual politics.

Based on the number one best-selling picture book by Giles Andreae and Guy Parker-Rees, Giraffes Can't Dance will now run at Curve in Leicester this Christmas from 9 Dec – 5 Jan, extending its run into the new year following popularity with audiences. The show will then be performed at Rose Theatre Kingston across Easter, before touring the UK from May to August 2020.

Eclipse Theatre and the Belgrade Theatre Coventry today announce full casting for their upcoming co-production of Janice Okoh's The Gift, the third show to emerge from Eclipse's groundbreaking Revolution Mix movement, which is spearheading the largest ever delivery of new Black British stories in theatre, film and radio. The Gift will premiere in Coventry from 18-25 January before embarking on a UK tour.

The exceptionally versatile and sleek venue has just opened its doors with the UK premiere of Dave Malloy's Ghost Quartet. The show is a celebration of ancestral storytelling: characters and storylines intersect and transcend time in what feels more like a song cycle or a staged concept album of sorts. In 2017, Young Vic Taking Part took the Young Vic's production of The Brothers Size, by Moonlight writer Tarell Alvin McCraney, into HMP Wandsworth. The workshops led by Liverpool-born playwright Luke Barnes and director Justin Audibert which followed resulted in a brand-new piece of theatre - The Jumper Factory - developed with eight Wandsworth prisoners.
