Dragons... fairies... knights... enchanted meadows... spooky caves... all part of an immersive experience into your favorite childhood fantasies in Spy Brunch's site-specific adventure, Dragon Show: The Extended Tail. Filled with original songs and a memorable cast of characters, just 12 audience members will be admitted into each performance to enjoy the kind of intimate and memorable experience that immersive theatre delivers best. As a true fan of the genre, how could I resist a production such as this? So, I decided to speak with Katelyn Schiller and Nick Rheinwald-Jones, writers/producers/directors from Spy Brunch to find about more about them and the creation of their immersive fantasy world.
Come encounter mystical and whimsical creatures, enjoy songs and festivities, but beware, because Here Be Dragons! Dragon Show: The Extended Tail is a 120-minute interactive immersive production from Spy Brunch LLC, creators of groundbreaking, award-winning shows The Pod, Sherwood & Nottingham and Safehouse '77.
The Dragon Show (How Do Dragons Blow Out Candles?) will run on Fridays and Saturdays from February 4th through the 19th in a private residence in Los Feliz, Los Angeles that will be released upon ticket purchase. Dragon Show, a Spy Brunch LLC production, is a highly interactive immersive experience featuring handmade artwork and architecture, original songs, and an engaging cast of talented immersive performers.
Taking place exactly five years after the events of last year's production, the site-specific thriller SAFEHOUSE '82 once again immerses audiences in the culture and atmosphere of its particular era, right down to the 1982 copies of Playboy Magazine sitting on the living room table. This time, however, guests are asked to play a much more significant role in the story, with our choices directly impacting: the show's outcome as well as the fates of key characters. Thurs, vastly different endings are possible depending upon how the audience works together to complete the evening's mission.
SAFEHOUSE '77 is a site-specific interactive show with a mixture of historical and pop-cultural influences in the exciting world of spy movies. The evening begins after parking in a Bank of America lot a few blocks away from the party house where Connie (Ashley Jones, decked out in high-waisted bell bottom jeans), the sister of our party host, Sharon (Katie Rediger), meets us and goes over a few rules for the evening before escorting us to the party. Just prior to entering, each guest is given an ERA YES badge, every one different in color with an animal sticker in its center. Of course, there is a purpose which soon becomes apparent once the party begins.
Following its two previous sold-out runs, Spy Brunch LLC's critically acclaimed immersive production Safehouse '77 will return in November 2018 for a final remount.
