In a combined triumph for the Classic Popular Songbook, its purveyors and adherents, and the professionalism and perseverance of The Mabel Mercer Foundation, that unique organization presents its THIRTIETH annual New York Cabaret Convention at The Rose Theater, Jazz at Lincoln Center, beginning Monday, October 28th and running through Thursday, October 31th. The four individual concerts will be offered at 6 o'clock each evening, and more than seventy-five vocalists and musicians are scheduled to perform.

Lynn University and Jan McArt, producer and director of theatre arts program development, today announced that the popular Mabel Mercer Foundation's Cabaret at Lincoln Center Comes to Live at Lynn series will return in 2020 on five Wednesdays from January through May. This year, Lynn also celebrates the 10-year anniversary of the Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center, where cabaret artists will present intimate evenings of song, story and joie de vivre.

The York Theatre Company recently presented its one-night only concert version of the newly re-imagined version of the beloved Broadway hit musical I Do! I Do!, with book and lyrics by Tom Jones and music by Harvey Schmidt, based on the play The Fourposter by Jan De Hartog. York Theatre favorite David Glenn Armstrong (Roadside, Happy Hunting) directed with music direction by David Hancock Turner (York's Desperate Measures).

The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and rediscovery of musical gems from the past, presented the 2019 installment of the celebrated concert series NEO, featuring works by new/emerging/outstanding musical theatre writersAmanda D'Archangelis & Sami Horneff, Julian Hornik, Janine McGuire & Arri Lawton Simon, and Madeline Myers. In addition to these six writers, this year's NEO of the Future program showcased two songs by writers who are currently undergraduate students: Sarah Kaufman, a senior at CAP21/Molloy College, and Caleb Smith, a junior at Penn State.

KT Sullivan brings her run of 'I Can Cook: When Barbara Met Wally' to the Birdland Theater in NYC for a 4 night run (Feb. 27th - March 2nd).

Shana Farr and Steve Ross are teaming up to bring in the holiday season with a mix of seasonal and Christmas classics with some favorites from the Great American Songbook. The show includes material by Berlin, Porter, Lerner and Loewe, Rodgers and Hammerstein, and of course, some beloved holiday songs!

It's an evening of cabaret at The Never Get! The York Theatre Company will present An Intimate Night at The York, celebrating the lush history of New York City cabaret with a special 'intimate' evening with commentary by special guest James Gavin (Intimate Nights: The Golden Age of New York Cabaret), interspersed with performances by award-winning cabaret artists including Natalie Douglas, Shana Farr, Marissa Mulder, T. Oliver Reid, Steve Ross, KT Sullivan, Bill Zeffiro, and more! 

The final evening of performances for the Mabel Mercer Foundation's 29th New York Cabaret Convention, held at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Rose Theater, was a showcase for many cabaret legends, bringing back glamour, sparkle, and class to the proceedings.

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Executive Director), dedicated to the development of new musicals and rediscovery of musical gems from the past, presents the Off-Broadway premiere of the acclaimed new musical Midnight at The Never Get, with book, music, and lyrics by Mark Sonnenblick, co-conceived by Sam Bolen, by arrangement with Visceral Entertainment and Mark Cortale Productions. Directed by Max Friedman, with choreography by Andrew Palermo, and music direction/arrangements by Adam Podd, the cast features Sam Bolen, Jeremy Cohen, and Jon J. Peterson. Performances began Tuesday, October 2, 2018 for a limited engagement through Sunday afternoon, November 4, 2018 at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). More than seventy diverse vocalists -- ranging in age from seventeen to ninety -- are scheduled to entertain; thirteen of these will make their New York Cabaret Convention debuts during the 2018 performances.

The York Theatre Company will honor Five-time Tony Award-winning musical theatre director/choreographer Susan Stroman (Crazy for You) with the 2018 Oscar Hammerstein Award for Lifetime Achievement in Musical Theatre at the 27th Oscar Hammerstein Award Gala to be held on Monday evening, November 12, 2018.

Joshua Lance Dixon, this years MAC Award winner for Best Male Vocalist produced all the charisma and excitement of the Rat Pack with his show which tells (in story and song) the history of Frank, Dean, Sammy, Joey, and Peter Lawford.

Tickets are now on sale for 'All the Way: The Music of Jimmy Van Heusen & Friends,' an extraordinary concert event to be produced by The Mabel Mercer Foundation on Friday, May 18th at 7:30 p.m. The special, one-time-only performance will be offered at Weill Recital Hall (part of the Carnegie Hall complex) at 154 West 57th Street.

The sidewalk in front of Theatre 80 Saint Marks Place has been called the "East Coast Grauman's", and Fodor's Travel magazine calls it 'one of the eight things to see in the USA.' On Sunday, February 18, from 4:00-6:00pm, star of stage, screen, television and one of New York's legendary bonhomie, Joe Sirola, will add his signature and handprints to the historic sidewalk.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series was once again proud to present "the crown prince of cabaret," Steve Ross.
