Casting Announced For Morgan Lloyd Malcolm's TYPICAL GIRLS

In a mental health unit inside a prison, a group of women discover the music of punk rock band The Slits and form their own group. An outlet for their frustration, they find remedy in revolution. But in a system that suffocates, can rebellion ever be allowed?

Soho Theatre Presents Jasmine Lee-Jones's CURIOUS

curious is Lee-Jones' second play following her critically-acclaimed seven methods of killing kylie jenner (Royal Court), for which she won the Evening Standard Award 2019 and Critics' Circle Theatre Award for Most Promising Playwright. Set against the sprawling backdrop of urban London across centuries, curious is a frank, funny and moving excavation of the lives of two actresses who are young, Black, queer and trying to find out who they are.

Martin Marquez Will Join Saffron Coomber in LEOPARDS At The Rose

Martin Marquez has an extensive repertoire of stage work with the Donmar Warehouse, The National and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.  He most recently starred as Nathan Detroit in Sheffield Theatre's production of Guys & Dolls and in Josie Rourke's revival of Sweet Charity at the Donmar playing Vittorio Vidal. 

Holly Race Roughan Announced as New Artistic Director of Headlong

A director with a reputation for developing new writing, Holly directed Headlong's Hedda Tesman by Cordelia Lynn at Chichester Festival Theatre and The Lowry, Salford. She was an Executive Producer on Unprecedented, the BBC Four, Century Films and Headlong critically acclaimed drama anthology, directing House Party by April De Angelis and Penny by Charlene James for the series.

The Tank Presents SMARTPHONE LOVE

After a long year and a half of theater venues being closed, The Tank is returning to in-person shows, 'Smartphone Love' being one of them. The play is so relevant to 2021, being a love story that is occurring during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Casting Announced For UK Tour of THE WOMAN IN BLACK

Stephen Mallatratt’s adaptation of Susan Hill’s bestselling novel tells the story of a lawyer obsessed with a curse that he believes has been cast over his family by the spectre of a ‘Woman in Black’. He engages a young actor to help him tell his story and exorcise the fear that grips his soul.

Chicago Shakespeare Announces 2021/22 Productions & Programs

Chicago Shakespeare Theater announces the return of in-person performances at the Theater’s home on Navy Pier with the much-awaited debut of As You Like It infused with the hit songs of The Beatles, beginning October 6, 2021. 

Globe Announces First Ever Neighbourhood Tour

Globe on Tour, which normally would take three productions across the UK and beyond, will this year be staying in London, partnering with local schools, community organisations and charities who will provide free tickets to their invited audience in the Globe's home borough of Southwark and across the city.

Outside Edge Theatre Company Will Workshop LESSONS FOR DRIVING

Lessons for Diving by Silas Parry, directed by Matt Steinberg will be workshopped 19-24 July, with showcase on 24 July and performed by Sebastián Capitán Viveros, Patrick McNamee and Dan Wolff. This will be followed by Kristian Phillips' Drift, directed by Matt Steinberg and performed by Tom Rhys Harries, workshopped 26 – 28 July with the showcase on 28 July; and finally, Boomerang by Jack Stanley will be developed 29 – 31 July, with the showcase on 31 July, directed by Jude Christian. Showcases will be at the Jerwood Space.

Shakespeare's Globe Announces Return of Standing Tickets

As a result of the easing of restrictions not permitting standing theatre tickets, the open-air Globe theatre has now announced that 200 of the £5 standing tickets are now on sale for performances from the 29 July. This number will allow for those who choose to social distance in the Yard.

SOPHIA Will Premiere at Sound Stage in August

Tickets for Sophia, along with the remaining two Sound Stage productions from Roy Williams and Timberlake Wertenbaker are currently on sale and can be purchased through Pitlochry Festival Theatre and Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh websites. Learn more here!

Photo Flash: First Look at ROMEO & JULIET at Shakespeare's Globe

The production is directed by Ola Ince and starring Alfred Enoch and Rebekah Murrell. This performance will be Live Streamed on the 10 July and 7 August, 7pm and will include a Midnight Matinee performance on 17 July, 23.59pm
