Amnesty International and Trinity Theatre Host Q&A Event With People Behind Human Rights Case, The Mauritanian

Trinity Theatre are partnering with Tunbridge Wells Amnesty Group for a special screening of legal drama The Mauritanian, accompanied by a live Q&A session.  On the panel will be Mohamedou Ould Slahi himself, who the film was based on, Nancy Hollander, the lawyer who got Slahi out of Guantanamo Bay detention camp, the film's director Kevin Macdonald and investigative journalist and Guantanamo expert, Andy Worthington.

DISNEY PRINCESS - THE CONCERT to be Presented at The Fabulous Fox Theatre

Bay Street Theater And Sag Harbor Cinema Announce Special Holiday Event

On the third anniversary of the fire that nearly destroyed the historic cinema, Sag Harbor Cinema and Bay Street Theater team up to usher in the Holidays and celebrate the unique and festive spirit that is the Village of Sag Harbor. Bay Street throws open its doors for hot cider, mulled wine, and a visit from Santa at 6 pm, followed at 7 pm by a free screening of Giuseppe Tornatore's Academy Award winning film Cinema Paradiso.   At the conclusion of the screening, Hollywood screenwriter and local resident Bill Collage will discuss the film with SHC's Artistic Director Giulia D'Agnolo Vallan.

Aladdin will welcome back Broadway's original Jasmine, Courtney Reed, for a limited run! Reed will assume the role from Wednesday, October 16th through Sunday, October 27th.

Stand-N-Vote Event to Feature Dave Matthews and Mark Ruffalo

Following the October 9 US Supreme Court decision to uphold North Dakota's new voter ID law, Native American organizations have organized a free concert to help get out the vote. The event will feature Dave Matthews, Mark Ruffalo and Native American performers such as Auntie Beachress, Lakota Thunder and the Dancers of the Northern Plains, Scotti Clifford & Spirits Cry, and Prolific the Rapper. The law, upheld by the Supreme Court just weeks before the election, requires that all IDs used at the polls include a street address - thereby disenfranchising the many Native American voters who only have a P.O. Box on their tribal identification cards.
