Mike Birbiglia: The New One, (www.TheNewOne.com) a new comedy written and performed by Mike Birbiglia, has announced their student rush policy. Officially opening at the Cherry Lane Theatre, (38 Commerce Street) on August 2, producers will make up to 10 student rush tickets available for each performance, priced at $29 each. A valid student ID is required and rush tickets will go on sale 90 minutes before each performance. As Mike would like as many people as possible to have the opportunity to see his show, one ticket can be purchased per valid student ID, cash only.

The Barrow Group announces their 2018-2019 season, which consists of three daring productions that invite audiences to take a look deep within- inspiring positive change in action and awareness.

Mike Birbiglia's return to off-Broadway in The New One is extending. On Wednesday, the run at the Cherry Lane Theatre sold out within hours of being put on sale. Even Birbiglia was a little taken aback, directing his Twitter followers to keep refreshing their browser because he didn't think it was possible it could sell out that quickly. The New One producer Mike Lavoie said, 'I haven't seen anything like this since we produced Oh, Hello at the Cherry Lane. It was then that we knew that we had a potential hit Broadway show and that's exactly what happened. Looks like Broadway may be in the future for The New One as well.' In the meantime, The New One is extending two more weeks. There's another show coming in to the Cherry Lane on August 27, so August 25 is absolutely the last performance there will be at this location.

4th Wall Theatre Company's 2017 - 2018 season wraps up with the regional premiere of Suzanne Bradbeer's hilarious comedy, Shakespeare in Vegas May 17 - June 9, 2018, at Studio 101, Spring Street Studios, 1824 Spring Street, Houston, TX 77007. 4th Wall offered a staged reading of the play during its 2017 "4th Wall Reads: Women's Voices" series. 4th Wall audiences will remember Bradbeer's work from the 2014 production of her political drama, The God Game.

Join 4th Wall Theatre for Reckless, the classic American, dark holiday comedy by Craig Lucas. This reimagining of the company's 2010 Houston production once again stars Kim Tobin-Lehl as the put-upon protagonist, Rachel, and features a strong ensemble cast including former Alley Theatre company member John Feltch; 4th Wall favorites Jennifer Dean and Nick Farco; and Deborah Hope, Kathleen Teodoro, and Zac Kelty in their 4th Wall debuts. British playwright Torben Betts arrives from across the pond to attend a performance of his play Muswell Hill, which is enjoying its New York Premiere in a co-production between The Barrow Group Theatre Company (Seth Barrish and Lee Brock, Co-Artistic Directors; Robert Serrell, Executive Director), and The Pond Theatre Company at The TBG Theatre (312 West 36th Street), and to take part in two special surround events related to the production.
