OPERA America has announced grants totaling $200,000 to six American opera companies through its Next Stage Grants program.

It is not even a matter of whether it was my work or any work, what they did here was so original and brilliant in its simplicity that it was magic.”

The Cumberland Theatre will continue their 35th Main Stage Season with the juke box musical Escape to Margaritaville featuring the song catalogue of Jimmy Buffett. The show will run July 6th - 23rd.

Mount Wilson Observatory, the place where humankind discovered its place in the universe, has announced the third date in its Sunday Afternoon Concerts in the Dome six-month series, to take place on Sunday, July 9, 2023. The performances are presented inside the singular vaulted dome of the 100-inch telescope. The concert series is curated by Artistic Director Cécilia Tsan, who is also its co-founder.

Wildsong Productions will present their production of Cabaret at the OB Playhouse in Ocean Beach from July 21 to August 20, featuring local musical theatre performers from across the county.
