Back by popular demand - ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST FESTIVAL - returns for its much anticipated 6th annual outing in Summer 2019.

The Drama League (Gabriel Stelian-Shanks, Executive Artistic Director) today announced the 2019 Drama League Awards Nominees for Outstanding Production of a Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Production of a Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the much-coveted Distinguished Performance Award. The nominations were announced this morning by the current stars of Waitress, Shoshana Bean and Jeremy Jordan, at the official announcement event at Sardi's Restaurant, which was streamed live online here at BroadwayWorld.

Access Theater Black Box presents The Comedian's Tragedy, an edgy, supernatural love story about Aristophanes struggling with his muse in Ancient Greece, written by Matthew Amendt. Thirteen performances will be staged at the Access Theater Black Box, 380 Broadway, 4th Floor (bet. Walker and White Streets) in New York City from June 21-July 6, 2019.

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF), the not-for-profit foundation of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), will host a symposium entitled 'Choreography in Collaboration' on Monday, June 10, 2019, from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM at SDC, 321 West 44th Street, Suite 804.

Moliere in the Park, presented in partnership with the Prospect Park Alliance and the LeFrak Center at Lakeside, has announced its full cast for its inaugural season. The three-day event begins with the company launch and fundraiser on Saturday, May 18 at 7pm, followed by two free staged public readings of two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Richard Wilbur's translation of Moliere's THE MISANTHROPE, directed by Moliere in the Park's Founding Artistic Director Lucie Tiberghien, with original songs by Tony and two-time Obie Award winner Stew, on Sunday, May 19 at 7pm and Monday, May 20 at 7pm.

Good Shows will present The Book of Briarshire, running for five performances in the 2019 season of The Hollywood Fringe Festival from Saturday, June 8th through Sunday, June 30th. Written by and starring Kelly Moore, directed by Colleen Doyle, and produced by Conor Hanney, The Book of Briarshire is an epic medieval fantasy comedy, where kickass women rule. With an almost entirely female ensemble cast, Briarshire subverts the fantasy genre, packed with both action and laughs. Our heroine Ylva (played by Moore) wants nothing more than to become a knight and live up to her father's legacy, so she quests to slay The Dragon (played by Lindsey Mallard) along with her clueless sister Skittles (played by Emily Bolcik) who frequently breaks into unsolicited/undesired freestyle raps. Along the way, they encounter magic, soldiers, elves, and even... a cobbler. The limited engagement will take place at The Broadwater, Second Stage (6320 Santa Monica Blvd., Hollywood, CA 90038). Barrington Stage Company announced today casting for its 25th Anniversary season. Second Stage Theater has announced casting for the New York premiere of MAKE BELIEVE. Written by BESS WOHL and directed by MICHAEL GREIF, MAKE BELIEVE will feature KIM FISCHER, SUSANNAH FLOOD, RYAN FOUST, HARRISON FOX, MAREN HEARY, BRAD HEBERLEE, and SAMANTHA MATHIS. The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of What You Are, a Globe-commissioned new play by JC Lee and the second show in the 2018-2019 Season developed in the Powers New Voices Festival. Directed by Patricia McGregor, What You Are will run May 30 - June 30, 2019 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run May 30 - June 5. JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT opens at Artisan Center Theater on Friday, May 24, 2019 and runs through Saturday, June 29, 2019. The 196 seat theater-in-the-round is located at 444 East Pipeline Road in Hurst.

Tickets are now on-sale for the New York Premiere of the new musical comedy BROADWAY BOUNTY HUNTER, opening Off-Broadway this summer at Greenwich House Theater (27 Barrow Street). BroadwayWorld has learned today the complete cast, design and production team for Guys and Dolls, the first show of its second century, June 10 - 16.

The nationally regarded Fulton Theatre is proud to present the riveting family drama and electrifying rock musical, Next to Normal, in the Tell Studio Theatre May 16 through June 2, with Previews May 14 and 15. Continuing its 40th Anniversary Season Second Stage Theater will soon present Christopher Shinn's DYING CITY. Directed by Chris Shinn, the production will feature Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Kelly) and Colin Woodell (Craig/Peter). DYING CITY will begin previews May 14, 2019 at the Tony Kiser Theater (305 West 43rd Street) and will officially open on June 3, 2019.

An industry reading of WINGS will be held on Thursday, May 9th at 3 PM and Friday, May 10th at 11 AM in New York City. WINGS is a new musical with Book, Music, and Lyrics by Danny K Bernstein.
