The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee will extend its run off-Broadway through April 12, 2026, due to popular demand. The production opens tonight, Monday, November 17, at New World Stages, and celebrated with a gala on Sunday, November 16.

Second Stage Theater celebrated its Fall Gala, honoring lifelong supporters of the arts, Melissa and Gregory Fleming, and director and playwright James Lapine. The gala featured a one-night-only evening of entertainment directed by Susan Stroman, with music direction by Andrew Resnick, and hosted by Andrew Rannells. Johnny G. Lloyd will join Meghan Finn, both as Artistic Directors of The Tank. Lloyd has served as The Tank’s Director of Artistic Development for the past 5 years, working closely with Finn and Managing Producer Molly FitzMaurice.
