Carnegie Hall today announced the names of 22 extraordinary young musicians chosen from across the country for NYO Jazz, an intensive summer program that nurtures and showcases the talents of exceptional young American jazz instrumentalists (ages 16-19).

The Lesher Center Presents Headliners series continues with jazz pianist-composer Joey Alexander, the youngest musician ever nominated for a Grammy Award in jazz, whose breathtaking swing and improvisational style that have made him an international sensation.

Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers remains one of only three shows to play for over 10,000 performances in the West End, bringing audiences to their feet night after night in the days when standing ovations were not always the default. A tale more than tinged with Greek tragedy, Russell’s examination of class, opportunity and poverty is given an injection of enthusiasm and vitality by an excellent cast in this touring production.

THE DJANGO, downtown Manhattan’s premier jazz club, is commemorating Women’s History Month by hosting more than 20 leading female jazz artists on its stage during March.

Bill Kenwright's legendary, award-winning production of the international smash hit musical, Blood Brothers returns to the stage in 2022 for a 16-week tour from 14 January at Theatre Royal Windsor. The much-loved musical, performed to sell-out houses on its recent 2021 UK tour and returns with gusto, running nationally from 14 January – 07 May 2022.

THE DJANGO, downtown Manhattan’s premier jazz club, will continue to host today’s jazz legends and rising stars. On February 3, The Django celebrates the fifth anniversary of the Brooklyn-based record label, La Reserve, with special performances by the label’s artists.

New Jersey Youth Symphony member Ryoma Takenaga of New Providence, NJ from the Academy for Information Technology, has received a 2022 YoungArts award in Jazz. Takenaga has been recognized at the Honorable Mention level, the organization's second highest honor.

Little Island, New York City’s new public park in Hudson River Park by W. 13th Street, will begin performances for the 2021 Dance Festival tomorrow, Wednesday, September 15. The percussive dance focused festival is Co-curated by Little Island Artist-in-Residence Ayodele Casel and Torya Beard and will run through Sunday, September 19.
