NEW YORK MUSICAL FESTIVAL and LADYSHIP, LLC announce the dates and casting for the world premiere production of Linda and Laura Good's (from the acclaimed indie rock duo, The Twigs) musical LADYSHIP, musical directed by Simone Allen, directed by Samantha Saltzman (Matilda the Musical) as an Official Selection of the 2019 New York Musical Festival's Next Link Project.

On May 14th, Stage Door School of Dance was honored to welcome to the studio Danny Mefford, choreographer of Broadway's Dear Evan Hansen, Fun Home, and TV's 'Rise'. Dancers were offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform and receive feedback on their competition and recital numbers from Mr. Mefford, in addition to an inspirational and riveting Q&A session.

BroadwayHD presents viewers the chance to come and meet those dancing feet of 42nd Street, when it debuts in cinemas as a one-night Fathom Events screening in movie theaters nationwide on Wednesday, May 1 at 7:00 p.m. local time. It will then be available on the Webby-nominated streaming service at a date to be announced. Performances began January 17, 2019 for a limited engagement through Sunday, February 24, 2019 at The Argyle Theatre (34 West Main Street, Babylon, Long Island). Opening Night was Saturday evening, January 19, 2019.

Forty years ago, two visionary leaders - Isaiah Sheffer and Allan Miller- took over an abandoned Upper West Side theater for an all-day free marathon concert called Wall to Wall Bach.  This event founded Symphony Space, and every year since 1978, Symphony Space has been presenting free marathon Wall to Wall events, hailed by The New York Times as 'an annual gift to the city of New York.'  In its 40th anniversary year, Symphony Space's signature concert event celebrates the centennial of a cherished American composer: Leonard Bernstein.  This FREE marathon concert will honor Bernstein's legacy with music, dance, conversation, film clips, and more, exploring the many facets of his creative life (May 19th, 3pm-11pm, Peter Jay Sharp Theatre, 95th and Broadway).

92nd Street Y's 48th season of Lyrics & Lyricists continued this weekend with an essential American story, Irving Berlin: American, celebrating Berlin's extraordinary life and work. On the occasion of the centenary of the writing of "God Bless America" - our nation's "other anthem," - artistic director, co-writer and choreographer, Noah Racey (Lyrics & Lyricists veteran, Thoroughly Modern Millie), and co-writer Cheryl L. Davis (Barnstormer, Maid's Door, Bridges) explore how the five-year-old Russian immigrant who arrived at Ellis Island speaking no English came to create songs that epitomize American music, and how he became the spokesman in song for the country that allowed him to flourish.

Jed Bernstein, Producing Director of Theatre Aspen, announced today that the iconic musical Godspellwill join Ragtime and Our Town as the final offering in the 2018 summer season. Sara Brians joins Theatre Aspen for the first time as Godspell's director and choreographer, and long-time Theatre Aspen actor Elise Kinnon (Full Monty, Cabaret, Mamma Mia!, Hairspray) will assist.

It was hosted by Tony & Emmy Award-winning Actress Bebe Neuwirth and honored Dancer Choreographer & Television dance Competion judge Carrie Ann Inaba, Academy & Tony Award-winning Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones and Tony Award nominee and New York City Ballet Principal Dancer Robert Fairchild.
