It was announced today that Tony Award winning The Ferryman has recouped its investment on Broadway!

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Jez Butterworth's The Ferryman, directed by Sam Mendes, will play its final Broadway performance today, July 7, after 296 performances.

KeyBank Broadway at The Paramount is thrilled to announce that Roald Dahl's CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY will play The Paramount Theatre from July 31 through August 11.

This September, renowned Japanese theater director Satoshi Miyagi brings his intercultural adaptation of Antigone to Park Avenue Armory for its North American premiere in the Wade Thompson Drill Hall.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 Broadway's newest intimate concert venue will present Tony Award-nominated actor and vocalist Adam Pascal in his new show So Far for two shows only, Thursday, July 18 at 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM.

This summer, Sierra Stages brings the legendary musical "Cabaret" to Nevada City with an all-local Nevada County production playing from July 11 through August 3 at the historic Nevada Theatre. With a book by Joe Masteroff, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, this musical masterpiece marks the 11th annual summer musical presented by Sierra Stages. "Cabaret" is based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 has added a new performance date for Reeve Carney, star ofBroadway's Hadestown, on Sunday, August 4 at 9:30 PM. He will return following his previously-scheduled concert on Sunday, June 30 at 9:30 PM.

The National Theatre has announced 15 productions of new plays and fresh adaptations by leading writers.

The 5th Avenue Theatre is announcing a change in its 2019/20 season lineup. The world premiere of an original new musical, Bliss, will replace the previously announced Stu for Silverton in early 2020. Producing Artistic Director Bill Berry said, "Even though we do not like to make changes after we have announced our season, we are very proud of the hundreds of thousands of audience members who come to The 5th each year and understand that this is sometimes part of the process of being one of the leading theaters in the country producing new musicals."
