The popular themed cabaret series (mostly)musicals returned to Upstairs at Vitello's on Monday, September 25th at 7:30pm for their 25th edition, SING OUT!

Songwriters Sam Carner and Derek Gregor have released the full studio cast album of their musical ISLAND SONG as a free digital download.

Now through Sunday, Oct 1, 2017, the Manhattan Association of Cabaret (MAC) is accepting submissions from songwriters near and far for the Dottie Burman Award and the John Wallowitch Award.

???????Among those on hand to present the 2017 MAC Awards will be author and talk show host DICK CAVETT, as well as Broadway stars NIKKI M. JAMES (The Book of Mormon; Les Miserables), KAREN MASON (Sunset Boulevard; Hairspray), SALLY MAYES (She Loves Me; Steel Magnolias), SHARON McNIGHT (Starmites), DOREEN MONTALVO (On Your Feet; In the Heights), and MARY TESTA (Xanadu; On the Town).

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 32 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2017 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 18 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration.

Honeck-Moss Productions, in conjunction with The Duplex Development Stage will present "In The Works."  An exciting new series conceived as an opportunity for composers to try out new work in front of an audience and see how it plays in a supportive environment.

Kokandy Productions is pleased to celebrate its fifth anniversary with an expanded season featuring four fully produced musicals, including two Chicago premieres and two guest directors. The 2017/18 Season will also include numerous readings and workshops - adding fresh voices to Kokandy's "New Works Initiative" and emphasizing the company's commitment to becoming an increasingly relevant part of Chicagoland's musical theater and new work development communities. The new season also marks Kokandy's transition to a not-for-profit organization.

Adirondack Theatre Festival's (ATF) 22nd summer season continues with its CABARET SERIES featuring CARNER & GREGOR (ISLAND SONG). Performances will be held at the Charles R. Wood Theater (207 Glen Street in downtown Glens Falls), in the recently renovated Cabaret space on July 31st and August 1st at 7:30pm. The York Theatre Company welcomes the May installment of the game show for musical theater lovers,  Tune in Time, presented by Amy Engelhardt and Heather Shields, hosted by Emily McNamara, with Musical Director Nate Buccieri and annoyingly insistent timekeeper Sheila Head, celebrates warmer weather and skimpier clothing with celebrity judges Nick Cearley and Lauren Molina (from the popular performance group The Skivvies) and Tony Award winnerDaisy Eagan (The Secret Garden), on Monday evening, May 9, 2016 beginning at 7:30 p.m. at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's(Citicorp Building, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). 

The 7th Annual Indie Series Awards (ISA7) will celebrate the best in independently produced scripted entertainment created for the Web tonight, April 6, 2016. Nominations were previously announced in 30 categories. Scroll down for the full list!

At a ceremony held last night in New York, the Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs announced the winners of the 2016 MAC Awards. A Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Amanda McBroom.  Also honored with a Board of Directors award was Maryann Lopinto.  Jamie deRoy received the Ruth Kurtzman Benefit Award on behalf of her work with The Actors Fund: Jamie deRoy & Friends Cabaret Initiative.  Sally Darling received the Hanson Award. The show was produced by Julie Miller and directed by Lennie Watts, with musical direction by Matt Baker.
