In ISLAND SONG, the rush of the city keeps rhythmic time, and five young people traveling down uncertain paths are caught up in the pulse of life in New York. This inspiring new musical from the acclaimed songwriting duo, Carner & Gregor, examines the struggle of finding love, the struggle of finding success, and above all, the struggle of finding yourself in a big city where everyone seems somehow interconnected.

Sam Carner is the recipient of the 2015 Kleban Prize - a $100,000 prize awarded to the most promising librettist. He and Derek Gregor won the 2014 John Wallowitch Award for songwriter under 40. Additionally, Carner & Gregor were included in Playbill's 12 Contemporary Musical Theatre Songwriters You Should Know. Songs from ISLAND SONG have been sung all over America (in 6 continents, including Antarctica), in NYC, Paris, London, and Tokyo (in Japanese), but ATF's performance marks the World Premiere of the full production. Five songs from the show have been nominated for Manhattan Association of Cabaret Awards for Best Song.

ISLAND SONG stars Madeline Trumble (Newsies), Kathleen Monteleone (Hands on a Hardbody), Emily Schultheis (Wicked National Tour), Aaron Galligan Stierle (Ragtime, Phantom of the Opera, Grinch), and Phillipe Arroyo. The design team is: Paul Tate dePoo III (Set), Jake DeGroot (Lights), Patrick MacDonald (Sound), Rebekah Priebe (Costumes).
