Deadline reports that Daniel Dae Kim has joined the cast of 'New Amsterdam' in a recurring role.

Actor Ryan Eggold, who plays medical director Dr. Max Goodwin on “New Amsterdam,” visits the 3rd hour of TODAY to talk about the show, which has just been renewed for three seasons. Explaining the series' popularity (Charles Barkley is a fan), Eggold says, “It's something we all wish existed in real life.”

Focus Features will release NEVER RARELY SOMETIMES ALWAYS on Friday March 13th, 2020 (Limited) domestically in North America.  Universal Pictures International will release internationally, excluding free UK TV rights, which are retained by BBC Films. 

Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager will ring in 2020 with an all-star New Year's Eve primetime special, A Toast to 2019!, on December 31 at 8pm/7c on NBC. Kristen Bell, Martin Short, Maya Rudolph, Tony Hale, Terry Crews, Nikki Glaser and more will join Kotb and Hager as they break down the biggest pop culture moments and trends of the year.

The nonprofit Sundance Institute announced today the showcase of new independent feature films selected across all categories for the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. The Festival hosts screenings in Park City, Salt Lake City and at Sundance Mountain Resort, from January 23a?"February 2, 2020. The Sundance Film Festival is Sundance Institute's flagship public program, widely regarded as the largest American independent film festival and attended by more than 120,000 people and 1,300 accredited press, and powered by more than 2,000 volunteers last year.

NBC has renewed its Tuesday night drama series “New Amsterdam” for a second season.

Today, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) announced the initial line-up for the 2019 SCAD aTVfest, Atlanta's only festival dedicated to television. Now in its seventh year, the university's annual signature event celebrating the television industry will be held at SCADshow on February 7 - 9, 2019. Entertainment Weekly (EW) will serve as the first ever Official Media Partner for SCAD aTVfest.

'NBC's New Year's Eve' will kick off 2019 with the biggest names in music as Jennifer Lopez and Bebe Rexha join the previously announced line-up that includes Diana Ross, Kelly Clarkson, Andy Grammer, John Legend and Blake Shelton, as well as Keith Urban and Brett Young, who will perform live from Jack Daniel's Music City Midnight: New Year's Eve in Nashville. 

Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb will ring in the New Year with A Toast to 2018, a star-studded New Year's Eve primetime special highlighting the year's biggest pop culture moments, videos and trends. An all-star cast of celebrities - from Michael Bublé and Ellie Kemper to Kenan Thompson and Busy Philipps - will dish on the most talked-about stories that made for an unforgettable 2018. The two-hour special airs Monday, December 31 at 8pm/7c on NBC.

E! announced today the list of presenters set to take the stage to hand out the only awards voted on by the people at “The E! People's Choice Awards” on Sunday, November 11. The event, which will feature unique fan experiences and a variety of surprises throughout the show, will broadcast live across the cable networks of NBCUniversal, including Bravo, E!, SYFY, Universo, and USA Network, and will air in 161 countries.

NBC has picked up 'New Amsterdam' for a full season, according to Variety.
