The National Theatre has announced further casting for their forthcoming UK premiere of Here We Are, the final musical by Stephen Sondheim with a book by Tony Award-nominee David Ives.

Netflix has renewed the critically-acclaimed political drama The Diplomat for a third season, ahead of its Season 2 premiere on October 31. The news was shared by Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria on stage at the Bloomberg Screentime Conference in Los Angeles.

Asa Butterfield, star of Netflix’s Sex Education will make his stage debut in the one-man play, Second Best – a fictional story about the boy who came second to play Harry Potter. 

Stephen Sondheim's final musical, Here We Are will make its UK premiere at the National Theatre next year. The musical features a score by Sondheim, a book by David Ives, and direction by Joe Mantello.

Netflix has revealed that the highly anticipated second season of the political drama The Diplomat will premiere on the streamer on October 31, 2024. The Diplomat stars Kari Russell, David Gyasi, Ali Ahn, Rory Kinnear, and Ato Essandoh. Allison Janney also joins the cast in Season 2 as Vice President Grace Penn.

Prime Video has revealed that Laurence Olivier Award-winning actor Rory Kinnear, who, as previously announced, joined the Season Two cast of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, will portray the fan-favorite J.R.R. Tolkien character Tom Bombadil. The second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on August 29, 2024.

Netflix announced that Allison Janney (I, Tonya; The West Wing) will guest star in Season 2 of The Diplomat. The Diplomat is a Golden Globe, Emmy, SAG, PGA, and CCA-nominated series and has received numerous additional accolades since it premiered last year.
