 Dave Lawrence, President & CEO of the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County today announced the 17th annual season of one of its most popular series, but with a new name, new focus, and new location: The New CULTURE & COCKTAILS At The Ben, January – April 2022.

Air guitar is a form of dance and movement in which performers pretend to play an imaginary electric guitar. Performances include exaggerated strumming motions and recorded rock music often coupled with loud singing or lip-synching.

Kent State University's School of Theatre and Dance continues its 2021-2022 season with the first fully staged developmental production of the new musical Chaining Zero, running Nov. 5 - 14 in E. Turner Stump Theatre.

Cleveland Play House plays matchmaker with the next installment of Theatre Thursday: The Art of Connection on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 7:00 pm. Gingold Theatrical Group now in its 15th Season, today announced that applications are now being accepted for the 2020 Speakers' Corner Writers Group.

Chautauqua Theater Company (CTC), under the leadership of Artistic Director Andrew Borba and Managing Director Sarah Clare Corporandy, will preserve its commitment to new work development by presenting virtual workshops of Charly Evon Simpson's it's not a trip it's a journey, directed by Nicole A. Watson, on July 15, and Heather Raffo's Tomorrow Will Be Sunday (working title), directed by Jenny Koons, on July 22. Both New Play Workshop performances will be offered at no cost; viewers will be encouraged to provide a donation to benefit Chautauqua Institution's Arts Education initiatives in local schools. 

New York Theatre Barn will host a free live stream of its New Works Series April 21st, 2020 at 7PM EDT, featuring excerpts from the new musicals Frankie! and Agent 355. The 30-minute presentation will also feature the creators of the two new musicals.

The Roaring Twenties became the Roaring 2020s at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre's annual gala last night. Amazon.com and retail establishments in Florida must have run out of Flapper dresses leading up to this exciting event as most of the women wore the traditional 1920's dresses to the gala put on by Florida's largest regional theatre.

Manhattan Theatre Club (Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director; Barry Grove, Executive Producer) has announced the lineup for the 2020 Ted Snowdon Reading Series.

The Hugh A. Glauser School of Music at Kent State University's Piano Division will host a Scholarship Gala Concert at 5 p.m. on Sun., Jan. 26 in Ludwig Recital Hall. Tickets for the event are $35 per attendee, with all proceeds going toward student scholarships. A complimentary reception with heavy hors d'oeuvres and beverages will immediately follow the performance in the Roe Green Lobby.
