Cleveland Play House Artistic Director Laura Kepley has announced the 2021-2022 mainstage season lineup of plays for the Tony Award recipient’s 106th consecutive season. Launching in October 2021, the productions for CPH’s dynamic five-play in-person season will start small and grow in size and scale as the season progresses.

Chautauqua Theater Company's 2020 New Play Workshop Series To Be Broadcast Online

Chautauqua Theater Company (CTC), under the leadership of Artistic Director Andrew Borba and Managing Director Sarah Clare Corporandy, will preserve its commitment to new work development by presenting virtual workshops of Charly Evon Simpson's it's not a trip it's a journey, directed by Nicole A. Watson, on July 15, and Heather Raffo's Tomorrow Will Be Sunday (working title), directed by Jenny Koons, on July 22. Both New Play Workshop performances will be offered at no cost; viewers will be encouraged to provide a donation to benefit Chautauqua Institution's Arts Education initiatives in local schools.

The Roaring Twenties became the Roaring 2020s at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre's annual gala last night. Amazon.com and retail establishments in Florida must have run out of Flapper dresses leading up to this exciting event as most of the women wore the traditional 1920's dresses to the gala put on by Florida's largest regional theatre.
Kent State University Piano Division To Host Student Scholarship Gala Concert

The Hugh A. Glauser School of Music at Kent State University's Piano Division will host a Scholarship Gala Concert at 5 p.m. on Sun., Jan. 26 in Ludwig Recital Hall. Tickets for the event are $35 per attendee, with all proceeds going toward student scholarships. A complimentary reception with heavy hors d'oeuvres and beverages will immediately follow the performance in the Roe Green Lobby. Both venues are in the Center for the Performing Arts at 1325 Theatre Dr. on the Kent Campus. Reservations can be made in advance at www.kent.edu/PianoScholarshipGala.
