BC Beat Announces Choreographers From Tony Nominated Shows

BC BEAT, an evening that sells out and is yet intimate, dynamic, and playful, continues to stimulate new collaboration between choreographers, performers, directors, composers, and producers like no other event in New York City. Just ask Patrick McCollum. He was introduced to Steven Hoggett as a possible performer for his BC BEAT piece in 2011. Following their BC BEAT process, McCollum worked nonstop with Hoggett as an Associate Broadway Choreographer and this year, made his Broadway choreographic debut with THE BAND'S VISIT. McCollum is one of the many Broadway artists who have performed and choreographed at BC BEAT and have made the most of the opportunity at hand.

Leg Up On Life Presents MATRIARCH Benefiting Planned Parenthood

Leg Up On Life presents MATRIARCH benefiting Planned Parenthood hosted by Daniel Gold. Gold created Leg Up On Life wanting to create a platform for artists together of all styles to get their works out to the public while raising money for a phenomenal organizations. Matriarch is taking place Monday, April 30th, 2018 at Dixon Place. Performances will take place 6pm and 8:30pm doors opening a half hour prior. Throughout the shows there will be raffles taking place that can only be won if in attendance.

Leg Up on Life Presents The Spoken Word Gala

The Spoken Word Gala presented by Leg Up On Life is hosted by Daniel Gold who founded Leg Up On Life as a means for choreographers of all dance styles to present their work on a public platform while raising money for charitable organizations.

BroadwayWorld announced yesterday that Michael Luwoye will be taking over the title role in Hamilton on Broadway beginning January 2018. Luwoye began his Hamilton journey as an alternate in the Broadway production on July 11, 2016, before going on to become the principal Hamilton on the Angelica tour, beginning March 10, 2017. R.Evolucion Latina (RL) is celebrating it's 10th Annual Dare to Go Beyond (D2GB) Children's Performing Arts Camp that will take place July 31st - August 4th in midtown Manhattan. During this decade hundreds of Broadway and NYC artists have donated their time to support the mission of empowering the Latino community through the performing arts.
